How long before Elvis visits the BDC&WB?
"Elvis and Priscilla Barbies: A must have for fans"

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- The marriage didn't last all that long, but for the Elvis Presley faithful, the wedding day is special still. And now, Elvis fans have the official, Graceland-approved Elvis and Priscilla wedding dolls to remind them of that magical time.
"This is just another way he's making history, and we want to be part of it," said Angel Durham, who waited all night outside a Graceland souvenir shop to be the first to hand over $65 for a boxed set of the dolls, the newest additions to Mattel's Barbie series.

Darn it all
Even though we weren't camped that far away, we didn't make it over to say "hi" and have a glass of wine this year.
Do y'all make it to any decomps inthe Fall?

Actually I moved from Elk Grove to Newcastle in 1999. Lived about four blocks east of EG Park in old EG. One of our villagemates still lives there: LoveMonkey. Personally I don't do many off-playa functions; I do, after all, have the semblence of a life. But we're always anxious to meet burners from the area. Hope to see you next year.
finally put pants on the day I flew back.... was raining when I arrived...
loaded a lot of pics on my myspace... myspace.com/aksotar
2 days to "clean" gear and fun in sunny Seattle, you have to go to the Alki Bar in West Seattle !!
thinking of everyone... much love !!!!
where are my Canadian Brothers..?? drop me a line....

re:off playa socials.
Dragon used to live near Elk Grove Park.
Marty lived nearby, a couple of years ago, too.
I've met Love Monkey before at the Sacramento Santacon pub crawl.

Considering the camp name, I think the pole should be ran through the mannequincullen wrote:you need a mannequin on a 25 foot pole instead of a village flag

There's a theory that the romanians figured out how to impale all the way through the body without killing.
Just major discomfort.
I always figured they just started so you couldn't get loose and left you.
More drama emotionally with living victims is the idea.
Supposed to have turned one army in it's tracks.

it did..he impaled his own people, by the thousands.
lined the road.
the army was horrified that he'd do that to his own, and, being mercenaries, wondered what he'd do to them.........
yes, they could impale so a person lingered a long time, but, it did kill them..........
IIRC, that is.........

You forgot the right away. It would take some pretty sophisticated medical tech to save someone afterwards. I doubt there were any actual survivors.gyre wrote:There's a theory that the romanians figured out how to impale all the way through the body without killing.
Crusifiction was pretty nasty too, took several days to die.
