First timer, alone and extremely nervous!

Post by LoneWolf367 » Mon Aug 11, 2008 9:21 am

So as the subject says, I'm a newbie. My friends all bailed on me so I found a ride share and will be trying to wing it best I can.

As each day gets closer I am getting a little more nervous since I'm the type who loves to organize and plan out every detail so this will be a giant stretch for me!

My only concern is where to camp right now. So next stop, the theme camp boards! I'm looking to be adopted and make some new friends. :)

wolf. WELCOME!!!

listen to me and trust me if you can.
only concern yourself for the things you need.
read the survival guide 11 times.

this is what you need.

water.
food.
a little personal shade.
transportation.
ticket.

if you have these things taken care of, don't 'worry' about anything else.

you will have 45,000 neighbors who can help you have fun and who will have your back if you are in need.

as far as where to camp and everything else, there are plentiful posts here on eplaya that have ALL the answers for you.(including additions to your list of things to take.) even without those, when you reach the gate the greeters can answer any questions you have. right now, there is a small and lovely patch of ancient lakebed with your name on it. you get there and it will just present itself.

have fun and lose the nervousness. call it excitement from now on.
it's life. don't fear. be prepared to blow up and shoot into the sky forever.

welcome home.

crux
blow.

Nothing says Burning Man 2008 like driving a Suburban onto the playa and letting it run all night because you didn't bring a blanket or coat. Fortunately, you're not going to have that problem. It gets ball-shrinkin' cold on the playa most nights. javascript:emoticon('')
