Huge tent, but no camp.
Huge tent, but no camp.
Hey all,
This year most of our campmates are taking a break (like 1 year is not enough of a break).
So we are somewhat homeless. We usually travel 100% self contained and do not require any resources (like kitchen, showers, etc...)
In fact we have a huge tent that we bought a few years ago, which could be used for anything. It's big enough to be seen from space
It's an older 16' x 32' Army style tent which is 10' at highest point and about 6' at sides.
The video of a test setup is here:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 0271815&ei
It's bige enough to use for leaving, chilling, cooking or partying...
The setup is simple, I was able to do it with 1 friend in 1.5 hr. 4 people can do it in 30 min.
I guess the offer is: If you in need of a shade/structure and can accomodate a few more people - let's talk
We are fun and easy and looking for same.
That's us last year:

We have 5 people in the RV and 2 or 4 in the vans, that's that.
As far as camping space, we need long parking spot for an RV with a trailer, preferably at the street side, so we can lounch our art car and a space for 2 minivans.
We are quiet campers, you will not hear music blasting from our side. And we looking for place where we can sleep at least second half of the night.
The art car is not big(4x16)
RV with 5 burners departing Bay Area on Wednesday arriving probably Wed night. Minivans are coming on Thur eve.

She is as in a field a silken tent
At midday when the sunny summer breeze
Has dried the dew and all its ropes relent,
So that in guys it gently sways at ease,
And its supporting central cedar pole,
That is its pinnacle to heavenward
And signifies the sureness of the soul,
Seems to owe naught to any single cord,
But strictly held by none, is loosely bound
By countless silken ties of love and thought
To every thing on earth the compass round,
And only by one's going slightly taut
In the capriciousness of summer air
Is of the slightlest bondage made aware.
And then we burn the man.

I think that's what the gent meant!mdmf007 wrote:I can not, will not, vent the tent.
I could not, would not, rent the tent.
I will not rent it to a gent.
I will not rent it to ten men.
I will not rent it for ten cents.
I will not rent it for the event.
I did not mend the big green tent.
I will not rent my precious tent.
