Spanish virgins arrive to the playa...y no tenemos toalla...

Post by burningCastanets » Thu Aug 14, 2008 10:20 am

hey sweet little burnings
we are 7 Spanish virgin people, some sexy boys and a lot of lovely girls, that will arrive in the playa on
Tuesday/Wednesday, we don´t know if we are going to drive the van all together or by turns,
but all of us wish to go from Las Vegas to Reno and then on to Black Rock City, singing "allá en el rancho grande, allá donde vivía...."

we are looking for camp, we don´t know what we want, but we are very funny and un poco locos,
so if you can help us tell me where we can arrive, and we will sing you "oh! susana"

besos para ellos,
besitos con lengua para ellas,
and happy burning man!!!
joo, joo, jooo!

Welcome, insane persons!

You can camp anywhere.
Or are you looking for a theme camp, or organized camp of some kind?

Sounds like you came to the right place. Why not come earlier on Monday? You'll wish you did.

Hi Burnings

gyre: we don't know that we seek, we don't know that we want and we don't know what we are going to find, but this is the big-milk (Spanish slam, it are going to be great).
all the madness of the universe concentrated in just a few square kilometres, where everyone transmits his energy and the shares so altruistic, it are going to be an experience to change the world
and see that other social systems are possible, that what they have taught us, is not the best, that there are many lights that illuminate the
land, and the only way to learn is moving, so we must move because I like it moving, moving....

if we can learn some camp handsome, but I think our excitement we clouds ours thoughts and what we want. when I know more about BM, I love more it, and more difficult are take decisions, i like a lot of things of BM.
This is a crazy ....

Harpman: you are right, we should be there from Monday, but it will be a journey of maximum madness, which we started tomorrow
and we are going to see how we manage to reach the BM, I think we are going to do the pine -bridge with side cartwheel and a double twist of head
for when we arrive to BM.

I promise you, that we are going to looking you , so you can see with your eyes how the happiness escapes for all ours pores.

Burning Castanets

pd: sorry for my English, i know the wookie language and can speak with the butterfly, but must learn more English, some volunteer...

Spanish version:

hola Burnings

Greetings Spanish Burners!

Your english is pretty good, very poetic even.
Some things don't quite translate, and a few verb tenses are off, but it comes across pretty clear.

If I may:

The big milk translates to good luck, big luck or good fortune, I think.

besos para ellos,
Big kisses to all
besitos con lengua para ellas,
Little kisses with tongue to everyone (tongue in cheek here, I think)
and happy burning man!!!
joo, joo, jooo!
ho, ho, hooo!

os prometo que os buscaré para que nos veáis la felicidad como se escapa de nosotros poros.
I promise you, that we are going to be looking for you , so you can see with your own eyes how the happiness, glee or joy exudes from all our pores.
This is a spanish idiom, I think, but there is a comparable english saying.
I cannot remember it now, of course.
It is clear though.

I think we are going to do the pine -bridge with side cartwheel and a double twist of head
for when we arrive to BM.
Leaping for joy is what I get here, though I can't quite translate the gymnastics.
The pine bridge part completely baffles me.
Can I get a little help with that, please?

I have seen new people roll in the dust when they came through the gate.
Once a girl rang the bell and looking around at the large crowd, took off all her clothes and ran out into the darkness for the city!
Most just jump around a bit and drive in.
Remember there are police there and do not drink in the car and so on.

Please correct any phrases I guessed wrong about.

What you have said about burning man is quite beautiful.

I am not familiar with the song, but it seems quite lovely.
Is it 'far away on the big ranch'?
Do you have an english translation?
I can't find one anywhere.

Si me quieres escribir ya sabes mi paredero
Si me quieres escribir ya sabes mi paredero
Tercera brigada mixta, primera, linea de fuego
Tercera brigada mixta, primera, linea de fuego

An old Spanish ballad about a young soldier fighting for the Federal government against Franco during the Spanish Revolution.

Actually the melody is quite haunting. If you find me, I'll sing it for you...I'm not that bad. My junior high home room teacher who was also the Spanish teacher made us learn it...no idle minds in his home room.

for some reason, when reading their (Burningcastanets) posts, I hear a Czech accent and see Steve Martin and Dan Akroyd in plaid pants.........

And,
I wish you the best of luck, getting to BRC, and, making it exactly what you want it to be.........
