In 2006 I went to Burning man on a whim having no prior knowledge of what lay in store. In short, I was flabbergasted. In the interim police types with questionable moral standing have put me in a position with the courts that would make it very costly to try to make it this year ... only now I'm hearing that after this year the playa will be as dry of burners as it is of water and that my 2 year hiatus will instead be eternal. Well ?

Edit: On second thought, I Imagine there's too much momentum for it to have been squelched by next year and that it will undoubtedly be manifested.

I don't know where you're hearing this, but it sounds like garbage to me. This "community" is a place where pranksters often start rumors for fun. It is also a home to many bitter persons who think that it's already dead. I think we are on year three of a five-year permit. For BLM to go back on that seems unlikely. For the llc to give it up, more so.
