Champagne, err, Sparkling Wine, in other than glass bottles
I've heard rumors of it in plastic. So far only found it in single-serving plastic bottles.
Any hints/leads/suggestions?
Glass is such a pain for hauling in and out. Etc.
Thanks,
B.

Naw, it's totally doable. It's strictly marketing keeping it in glass. Same with wine-in-a-bag-n-box, etc.
Like I say, *have* found mini-servings in plastic. But those aren't a good choice (environmentally, cost, nor convenience).
Plastic has its downsides, but the savings in shipping alone make it more economically and environmentally sound for beverages than glass. (Especially as little to no glass is being reused, typical best case is recycling.)
Champagne in plastic??
I doubt the process that makes the champagne a champagne can occur in anything other then glass.
consider plastic champagne glasses? Party stores should have these items - or "google" plastic champagne glasses or flutes.
Since fine wines are definately being marketed to people who don't have to worry about the--no that's not right. The cost of shipping is pretty minor to the price of a bottle of champagne.ilmarinen wrote: Plastic has its downsides, but the savings in shipping alone make it more economically and environmentally sound for beverages than glass.

Check to make sure you have Champagne, not Realpagne.
