Places to Stop en Route?

Post by thedrunkenmonkey » Tue Aug 19, 2008 1:54 pm

This is more from a perspective of OMG, SAAAAVED, but...

I went down early this year and broke down coming over the Cedarville pass from Seattle. The gas station in Cedarville has saved my bacon, and I have to give them immense props due to the sheer awesomeness of the place.

To put it in perspective, I also spent 20 hours driving a heavy rig and it terminated 80 miles from the event on the road in Cedarville - so I am a bit biased. I also stayed at the JnR hotel - cheap, cheap rooms and sweet people. The restaraunt is good diner food, but believe me, to a Burner who couldn't go no further, this town was well worth the stop.

The small towns on the way into the event are as much a supportive part of the community, so I'm curious - where do you like to stop and stay?
