Hi, I'm a veteran burner who finds himself without a ticket! I need one ASAP, and I feel entitled to one because of all the rides I've given and the drinks I've poured. I have all the things I'll need to survive a week in the desert because I had the forethought to plan for that.
Think of how much I'll be missed by everyone if I don't make it! And it'll all be your fault for not giving me a ticket. I'm trying to do everyone a favor by gracing the playa with my presence.

I'm sorry, I have no ticket, but, could we all send you as much money as possible, so, you could buy one from all the folks trying to sell them, even at discounts, and, be able to purchase an RV and all that.
Perhaps, being the fine fellow you are, and truly deserving, after have done so much (to) for so many (giggle), we could make it a monthly stipend so you can just plan all year for the Burn?

It'd help if you put a somewhat pitiful, angelic/cherubic pic on your Avatar,
and state you'll trust the Universe to provide......

Maybe you could get Sally Struthers to shoot a short video and ask for money for food for starving kids, but, the make the checks out to you because you'll know just how much of it to send to them. Be sure she has a pizza box somewhere in the shot......

Everyone should chip in for the captain.
I would if I could and I never even met the man.
As much as he has done for the playa and eplaya.....
shit, BM should give him a ticket.
Capt, If I had the money, you know you'd have it.
As it is, I just moved to L.A. and just dont have it right now but if I did, it'd be in your paypal account right now.

I hope enough people on eplaya can help pull it off for the captain.
He's worth it.

Well I donâ€™t have a ticketâ€¦but I could send by a driver who has his ticket. And they could drive your Motor home and pull the trailer with the playa curser on it.

So we can have it set up and running for you â€¦you know just in case you find a ticket. Would that help?

In order to help out Captain Goddammit gain access to the 08' event I have quickly and recklessly thrown together a fund raiser tonight here in sunny St. Paul, MN.

It will be at 6:30 to 8:30ish...(I still have to work tomorrow, sorry.)

All funds will be used to rent an airplane, a parachute, a weeks supply of Assorted Flavored Ramen and a couple glow sticks. Since we can't buy a ticket we will be dropping Captain Goddammit from roughly 10 thousand feet over the Playa. Since he is a captain he surely knows how to parachute and live off of Ramen Noodles.

Just get smuggled in.. all the cool kids are doing it. Make sure the RV water tank you hide in has a good ventilation system and that you arrive in the wee hours.

Easy to sneak in.
Just use the black water tank.
The gate only checks to make sure it's being used and then ignores it.
Some people find the experience stressful though.

(merrily following down the garden path.) Capn' I think I smell a career as a d.j. for you. I think we shold pitch in for Capn's r.v. and delivery to playa rental (or purchase, he's worthy) shade shelter and swamp cooler, food, water, grape peeler, and masseuse. He should also be adopted and written into all of our wills.
