2008 WWW Guide Big Improvement
After lengthy(justified)criticism of the WWW guide on these pages last year it seems our voices were heard.This years WWW was outstanding.Easy to read,nicely illustrated and one of the best I have seen in the 10 years of Project attendance.Congrats to all involved for bouncing back nicely from last years painful experience.

Thanks to the three comrades who have praised this years WWW guide but come on people.Last year there were three PAGES of complaints on how messed up the 2007 edition was.
The people involved read these posts.Can we not show them a little more love for this years product?

I agree, the guide was much improved over past issues. The one change I would make is combine the 'repeating events' and the 'one time events'. It was feeble to try to look for Wednesday events on two areas of the guide.
On a related topic, what is required when posting a blurb in the guide? It seemed that some listings were missing key info, and I wondered if that was due to the author or the typesetting?
The only thing left to do is get the actual camp/activity to happen when and where stated in the listing; Over the last 5 years, I'm averaging a 14% accuracy rating for events that I wanted to check out.

I would add one thing, though it does mean more paper
In the calendar for each day, I would add very brief, maximum one line notes about the repeating items. To check what's on now, you must check the current time, then "repeating items starting monday, starting tuesday, starting wednesday etc."
Just have a general repeating items section (and list the days) and in the per day guide, just include a line like "Daily blessing, pg 23" to point to the repeating event.
This would add a few pages to the guide, but you could then do things like circle what you're interested in, all on one page for any given time in the week.
And then one more thing. Very high tech perhaps, but also generate the WWW in vcal format, to be loaded into the calendars of people's PDAs. I bet a third of the people have devices with electronic calendars. They may not have them with them at all times, but they have them back in camp, and can use that as a way to check the calendar. In this format, the repeating events (not counting the "almost all the time events" which are really just camp listings) can be listed with the one-times.
Now, for real extra credit, there are folks who have built systems that go beyond this. There is a web site called sched.org. With this site, they will display the calendar and let you put checkboxes by the ones you are interested in. Then, it generates a custom calendar just for you, that you can load into your PDA or print out, with just your items.
Do this, and you could probably print fewer WWWs -- though I guess many would still want them for souvenir -- and save money to justify the extra pages in the printed one.
