Another newbie hooked for life

Post by greenmachinemike » Tue Sep 02, 2008 11:21 am

My first burn was everything I could have hoped for. I met tons of interesting and friendly people. I made new friends. I partied with old friends. I rediscovered what true love feels like. I took care of myself and practiced moderation in a sea of excess. I danced my ass off!

amen to this...it was my first burn as well, and hopefully the first of many to come. i was amazed at the good energy all around me. this is what i've been looking for in the rave scene for several years now. already missing the desert, although i was happy for a real shower...

This was also my 1st burn and when the greeter at the gate told us "Welcome home" I must admit I didn't really get it. By the end of the event I finally understood. BRC is home and the other 51 weeks we are away from home!

I too am hooked for life. Such great people and a totally wonderful vibe. Even when I was tripping out of my mind dressed in a Jesus costume complete with crown of thorns with red EL Wire and a very heavy flogger I met the most amazing people. I only remember about half of them due to what I was on, but it was amazing.

Our neighbors (Roller girl and her friends & Francis & her crew) were the coolest people who didn't mind camping next to our big orange castle and the Arcosante folks who raided us took the return seige in stride.

I will return to BRC as often as time and funds will allow.

Hooked fer life.

This year was my first also, and it was heaven. I've wanted to go for years and most of my friends have gone several times, but I'm glad I finally got to experience such a beautiful community. I loved everything about it and the people were amazing. I could go on forever but I will say I dont think i can allow myself to ever miss another year. I cant wait to go back home :)

I took a new package of socks, a freshy everyday for my little tootsies :D

Now when I pull them out of the sock drawer, and notice how they never quite got completely cleaned of playa, I smile, smile and dream of the next time I will be home...ahhhhhh :D
Excuse me Ma'am, your going to feel a small prick.

Hi there. Welcome to eplaya.

Elderberry

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me
