Do you know this woman?

Anybody know this gal? Nothing sinister I promise :P
Aside from the fact that she is devastatingly gorgeous, I just wanted to thank her and her campmates for the Sno-Kones!
Sno-Kones in the desert! It was quite the treat to come across them on the Esplanade and the "American Dream" Sno-Kone was wonderful. It was red, white & blue with a splash of vodka.
And being served by such a vision of loveliness made it all the better
I believe I can see the words Camp-I-Am on the cart behind her.

Thank you mysterious lady for the most wonderful treat!

It was simple moments just like this that made for the best memories of the '08 burn. I am just glad I had my camera at the ready for this one.

Sno Cone machiney is blocking the view. I am not 100 percent on whether or not leg humping would be desired. But the sno cones were quite a dandy treat!

Rest assured I did get a full view of this bright star in the desert. I could have asked her to vamp fully for the camera but I thought this more candid shot would make for a nice picture!

I'm not terribly sure a leg humping is ever in order, and simple decorum prevented me from asking her if she was into such a thing.

If only there was a more civilized method of determining just what any particular person is into?

But I think it's safe to assume that if you are into such a thing you would want to, but that she probably isn't into such a thing.

Although at our camp there was a lady who came from the Crititcal Tits parade all painted up and then went shirtcocking on one of our goofy quests that we had people do. Her first reaction was if she could simply go 100% nude without the shirt. Kinda need to wear a shirt to go shirtcocking methinks. Turns out she was an 8th grade math teacher. I suppose there is no knowing exactly what stuff someone is into simply by looking at them!

But uh, to remain on topic, yes, the sno-kones were indeed a dandy treat!
I wonder how much ice they had to get and how often?

Maybe one year I will offer Gelato or something similar. It would be quite the bugger to keep cold, but it would also make my camp quite popular.

Hanky codes are good.. tho theres no leg humping hanky.. the more common fetishes are covered.

Do tell... Is there some sort of internationally recognized hanky guide to accepted fetishes? This could explain some of the more bizzare proposals I have been offered whenever I decide to wear a hanky.

And all along I thought it was some weird vibe I must be sending out, but it was the hanky all along!

I think Teppy from Camp I Am had a sno-kone machine

Post by bradtem » Fri Sep 12, 2008 2:38 pm

So he probably knows who it was as it was probably his machine. At our camp, 2 doors down, we were giving out shaved ices (which are quite a cut above sno-cones.) They are shaved from block ice -- annoyingly Arctica stops selling block ice near the end of the event because they presume people only want it for long-term coolers.

Shaved ice eh? I regret missing out on that! This was my 1st burn and I am still amazed at what I saw people creating and offering.

DANGER WILL ROBINSON! DANGER WILL ROBINSON!

If someone has never heard of the hanky-code it might be polite to remind them that it is very adult material. Leg-humping ain't nothin'.

Also you don't need a full shot to see if she's leg-hump worthy. She's giving you a fucking sno-cone! What else do you want?

The notion of a leg humping from the Sno-Kone goddess was the furthest thing from my mind!

Somehow this thread has degenerated into some abyss when all I wanted to do was thank the Sno-Kone Princess!!!

That's ok I suppose. Keeps the thread fresh I guess :P

So....To get things back from whence they came:

Thank you Sno-Kone angel for the wonderful and wholly unexpected treat you and your campmates provided :D

This was what was at the core of my burn experience, such generous giving and grateful taking! We had many visitors at our little Kingdom and was able to provide safe harbor from sudden dust storms, or simply just a place to rest one's weary feet and enjoy a glass of Orange Slack (Vodka & Tang).

I received a sno-cone somewhere else and it was a glorious experience. Made my morning.

Big Hug (leg-hump free) to everyone handing out cold treats.

Yes indeed. A cold treat in the desert has the ability to turn a bad day into something wonderful. It would be sweet to offer ice cream or gelato but keeping the stuff cold would be an expensive affair.

Maybe when I finally win the lottery I will be able to bring a mobile freezer unit and set up:

BRC Nihilistic Ice Cream - Plain only - We don't believe in flavor!

Hrm, that's a little dark methinks.

BRC Phish Phood Ice Cream - Warning May Contain bits & pieces of Trey Anastasio

Mommy, there a progressive rock guitar player in my ice cream! Yuck!

BRC Level 6 Vegan Ice Cream - Made from stuff you probably never heard of!

"Umm what exactly is Amorphophallus Titanum ice cream?" "Buddy you don't wanna know..."

Hmmm...Maybe not.

BRC Socrates Ice Cream - A dash of hemlock in each serving!"

There would be no repeat customers. And I would probably get 20 to life.

BRC Discordianism Ice Cream - 5 Flavors only!

Naaa, the line would decend into chaos.

Camp Nosefish was handing out Otter Pops in 3:00 plaza several times... so wonderful!!

And another group was doling out sno-cones right there in front of 3:00 Arctica, presumably having a near infinite supply of ice with minimal hauling and storage.

Cold treats are wonderful! Have had a few otter pops and popsicle treats handed to me as a greeter... mmmmmmmm

Woof!
A plan is what you vary from.

Destiny Lounge 3D will be at Bradbury and 3:15 this year as a part of the 404: Village Not Found group of camps! Come see us!

Wow. I'm flattered. :D

Glad to hear you really enjoyed the Sno-Cones, though my friend deserves the credit. It was his machine and his idea. I just really enjoyed helping because people like you made it so much fun.

I have to say, I was really surprised and amused to open a link in my email and see this picture of me and read the post. Glad your burn was great. Mine was spectacular in ways I couldn't have imagined.

Cheers and thanks again. This made my day.

And another thank you for you and your friend Amy!
My buddy and I stumbed across the stand after a prolonged trek through the deep playa looking at the art out there. Hot, tired and beat and we see Sno-Kones! It's difficult to explain why it was such a big deal unless one was there and went through all we did!

Also while waiting in line I made a new friend and got handed a card that enabled me to swap a bad memory for a good one. I used the card and indeed got a doozy of a memory to replace a less desireble one.

And the other day at work I was wearing my coat with a button that had the Man against a red, white & blue background and a random employee says "A fellow citizen of BRC?". We spent 15 minutes telling stories that ended when I had to go to this meeting.

I am certainly hooked for life.

So when do we get to see the leg hump worthy fire spinning pics?

Fire is much better than ice IMHO.

Drunk_Amy, I believe good Sir Toolmaker is expressing his desire to see your avatar photo in a higher resolution so he can admire the fire spinning skills in all their glory. Is that indeed you spinning the fire? And hopefully you are not doing that whilst drunk!

Oops the pic of Drunk_Amy got blown away from Photobucket and the link broke. So her she is again, this time it is the whole pic with one of her campmates. The sno-kone he is making was called "The American Dream" and was red white & blue and doused in Vodka. Sweet!
