I read some of the newer comments on this clip.

Mainstream seems to be the comparison chart on the discussion.

Personally I'd like to think of most of us as not only NON-mainstream, I'd like to think of us as that private lake that has little tributaries that trickle down into the sociatal pools to poison their drinking water with expanded idea's and testing of limits to where the sociatal normal gets Pushed!

Hey Pinemom, that was pretty deep :)
I don't think Burning Man is very mainstream. Most people I talk to have never heard of it, or if they have would even consider going, which is fine with me. Alot of people I talked to at the burn where surprised when I told them I was from the D, surprised that those of us this far or even farther east coast knew about the burn. But during the long cold dreary winters, we have time to seek out new and exciting adventures away from the heartland, and voila, this burner was born :D
