how insaine would it be to have every body at the same time out on the playa doing something-like the hokie pokie-everybody just shakin what ya got--geez now that would be a big circle. even a nice cha-cha line one night would be fun.

I've Danced in a Very Very Very LONG conga Line around the Burnt Man one year !!! It was super FUN fun fun !!! I'll hokie-pokie with ya next year!!!

Someone was trying to get us all to dance to some song played over the radio at the same time before the burn. Why is this a consistant fantasy? What's the appeal?

ok barbie--its you and me next year-we will have to get this thing going. i like the hokie pokie camp idea- but i already am having an optical camp. (check out 2009 theme camps). but we could have listed time and place to meet for congo maybe. lets kick it around.

Triple Rainbow????? What year was that? I saw a double rainbow there last year (2007) for the first time in my life (and I'm over 60). I would have loved to have seen the triple rainbow.

The 2007 rainbow was triple as seen from some places on the playa.

There already is a Hokey Pokey Camp - has been for some years now. In addition to dancing, they are a wonderful presence on the playa, their gift of 12 step meetings and an open camp 24/7 for people who want to maintain their sobriety is a blessing and oasis for many.

What Pinemom was saying is that you are too late. Hokey Pokey Camp has existed for several years on 3:00 plaza. Besides the daily noon Hokey Pokey dance with as many folks as they can get, they have an AA meeting at 5:30 every evening and its a great place for people trying to stay sober on the playa to find a refuge.

*edit* and if I'd pay more attention I would have noticed that mojo already said this... oh well.
