Is that, whomever gets elected president,

(regardless of all the whining that will occur regarding:
stolen elections,
hanging chads,
popular vote vs acreage,
electoral college,
dead voters in Chicago,
whatever.............
And who's fault everything is.......)

Is the best president we've ever had!!

Because, that's what it'll take to get us out of the holes we're in, on so many fronts.....

I'll support that person in fixing our country and making it great.
And,
since I don't really like either major candidate, I'll pat the winners on the back, congratulate them, and, if that person turns out to be the best, or at least really good, I'll admit I was wrong.

We the citizens need to be the best we can be. But given our less than altruistic nature I'm not holding my breath waiting to see the best that we have to offer come shining through any time soon.

It would be nice to have faith and trust in whomever becomes our next president, it would grand to think that positive change will be made.

However, I also believe that holding on to that wish is like trying to stop the tide. We, the people....... Remember? We need to stand up in unity and demand that this bullshit stop. Wasn't our government created for us and by us? Should it not still be working for us and not against us?

I'm from Boston, lets toss a bunch of tea into the harbor and see what happens!!

Yes, I hope as well that the next presidency brings our country positive, forward change, but I am a bit skeptical that it will happen until "the people" finally figure out how to organize themselves and demand/make change.

Thanks for resurrecting this, Ygmir.

A lot hasn't changed, but a lot has not.

Been doing some thinking. I think we need to apply some bernr principles here.

We don't wait for deliverance from the sky, nor do we look for someone to blame for our situation. The desert is the desert and we bring our own water.

For my part, anyway, if I have troubles, they are mine and they are here and now, or they don't exist at all (except in my imagination). I don't borrow other people's trouble.
My loyalty is for me, my family, and for my closest proven friends. Their troubles are mine. My solutions are theirs.
For somebody on the other side of the world, their situation is abstract for me, I don't know their situation, they may be my foes. At any rate, their troubles are theirs, and their solutions are theirs.
I'm not going to sit around for Obama or Romney or John Frum (?) to hand me solutions from on high. They don't understand my situation, and I'll be damned if I trust a one of them.

That's going to be my manifesto from here on in. How's that?
