It's been 3 months since Somekind posted about the Satan's Birthday Party site, so this response is really late. But....since the Twistine Chapel was mentioned we want to post a reply. We co-own/operate the august installation known as TWISTINE CHAPEL (drums, trumpets), and were aware of the Satan's B'day Party website which appeared about 7 years ago.
It seemed at first like a rich mine of medieval Christian superstition which had great nuggets of bullshit to play with.
But after awhile we realized the material was so over-the-top in every way that it couldn't be parodied. As with so much of fundamentalist theater they'd gone so far into the realm of religious delusion that we couldn't ridicule by being more absurd.
Also, there's always the possibility the whole thing was done by a professional comedy writer.
So we gave up.
What we do now is provide virtual weddings, liquid and other refreshments, and ready absolution for any sins you might want to discuss.
We prefer sexual ones, bu then who doesn't?
