I went to my first burn in 08 and i think im addicted. As soon as i came home and 1 week went by that is when i noticed how much i missed it. I was surprised but not too surprised. I try to explain to ppl what it (burning man ) is and its like trying describe something that is in nature. Try to describe a flower...no matter how many descriptive words u use u cannot describe beauty or the feeling you had seeing and feeling it. im happy to chat with ppl that can at least understand the topic and natural event that was and is Burning Man :P

Hello and welcome. I was a first timer this year, too. Can't wait to get back

And I agree with you that it's hard to describe BM. I've done it, a few times, but never the same way twice, and the listener always get a slightly different interpretation of what it's like. In any case, you can definitely describe the terrain and the weather and the outfits that people wear. What's harder is the spirit of the place.
