It wasn't a mistake of word substitution; it was a total misrepresentation. Palin used it to imply that women would go to hell if they didn't support HER (Palin) to win the race. She tried to imply that a prominent democrat (M. Albright) was supporting her (Palin).
Yes, jkisha that's EXACTLY what she was implying--
What is the DIFFERENCE in meaning between these two phrases?
She was saying that women should support her, in her bid for VP, and that Madeline Allbright said that there's a special place in Hell for women who don't support women.
She was saying that women should help her, in her bid for VP, and that Madeline Allbright said that there's a special place in Hell for women who don't help women
They both imply that women will go to Hell if they don't help/support Sarah Palin,'cos Madeline Allbright says so.
She's (Palin) doing the same thing trying to connect Obama to Ayers.
Obama connected Obama to Ayers, jkisha, NOT Palin. She's just remarking on it. Because no one else seems to want to.
See, Obama says, 'he's just a guy that lived on our block/in our neighborhood', and 'I was only a kid when all that happened'.
As if that excuses anything. We learned about the Weather Underground in school. But we also knew what was going on in our neighborhood. When the local drunk got busted for trying to break into cars--we knew. Surely even an 8 year old would have noticed that that nice Mr Ayers got arrested for trying to blow up the Pentagon? And, surely, at some time in Obamas' schooling the Weather Underground was mentioned.
There was no way he didn't know EXACTLY who Ayers was and what Ayers did. How do I know? Because Ayers himself can't shut the fuck up about it. He BOASTS about it.
So, let's be straight about this--Obama knew damned well he was associating with a domestic terrorist.
But were they pals? Well, that's a little bit different. If they were pals, Ayers would be more involved with Obama's career in politics. He would have done something like having Obama announce his initial candidacy for office at his private home--oh, wait, he DID that.
See, there were lots of places that could have been done--immensely less controversial places. Rent a hall. Use the other guy on the block's house, something less shocking than doing it at eubullient terrorist, William Ayers house.
But he didn't.
Instead, we're supposed to believe he barely knew Ayers, and certainly didn't know anything about his past--just like we're supposed to believe he spent twenty years in Wright's church--but never listened to him--despite quoting one of his sermons as the title of his book.
We're being told that 'Obama didn't know' quite a lot here. Now, you guys didn't like that when it was Reagan, or North, or even the Bushes. There were big investigations when they said 'I didn't know'. But with Obama? It's okay, we believe you--and no one--not even the Republicans--is holding any big investigation.
What is going on? It's like you've all taken leave of your senses. There ARE legitimate arguments against Sarah Palin--but none of these are them.
