why do i get the feeling that anything bush does will be spun into some "shame on bush and mccain" thing? i've seen it for 8 years now ... except that mccain was added just a few months ago ...

i find republicans to be no more predictable than the dems around here... conditioned responses ... lemmings ... yeah, yeah, yeah.

well, DVD, you are pretty predictable, not just politically........nothing wrong with that, but, it is the case........

Probably due to your steadfast adherence to a core set of beliefs and ability, and willingness, to expound on same, in many arenas........

And so you know what those "core set of beliefs" of mine are huh?

And just what might they be?

Nope, I think you live in a state of denial. But that's just what I think.
so you still haven't answered my question and I did answer yours.

Am I a democrat? Just would like to see what your predictability percentage is.

DVD:
I didn't say, or imply, I know your core beliefs. I pointed out, that, you have a certain consistency to your answers, and, having a core set of beliefs allows for consistent answers.
In no way was that meant as derogatory. Some would take that as complimentary, but, you'll have to decide.

and, if you can't decide if you're left or right, does that make you androgynous? hahahaha

How predictable is DVD?

If littleflower had produced an 8 page post, meticulously detailing each and every political stance that DVD has every exhibited and had, based on that analysis, come up with a term that fit DVD perfectly--so perfectly, in fact, that it surprised DVD that he'd never thought of the term before*, DVD would read the post and then call littleflower stupid because she was so wrong.

That's how predictable DVD is.

*Later he would use the term in reference to himself and pretend he'd been the one that came up with it.

Yeah it is since it's never likely to happen and littleflower would and never will answer the simple question whether or not I am a democrat or republican.

In fact, both Lurker and littleflower are hilarious at this point.

honestly ... DVD ... i don't really care whether you are a democrat or belong to a party or what. what i do not understand this obama worship... the guy relatively unknown, and very inexperienced ...he has made some pretty big mistakes that somehow get ignored (57 states? attack pakistan? c'mon)... who knows what he will do? who knows what his policies will bring?

maybe i am in denial, but i happen to love history, and i do know that the reality at the time often looks very different 50 years out. i do not know what will happen in the future. i do not know what would have happened if gore had become president in 2000. so why would i want to predict?

i tend to read a lot of stuff on all sides. i find a lot of very questionable information, and often search through sources until i find the source of said questionable data, which is often little more than an allegation that did not pan out, or an outright lie that gets bounced around so much that people believe it. this is not a right or left thing ... it happens on both sides. there is truth out there, but with so many power players in the world, it is often hard to know what to believe.

and those power players are the key. i try to weigh them all ... big government, corporate power, unions, wall street, other powerful countries, other world leaders. all of them do what they have to to get wealth and power ... all of them use propaganda. sometimes when i read what people write around here is just see one person - or group of people - blamed for all of the world's ills. and i don't get it. now i see people saying that this very inexperienced man is going to fix everything.

who is in denial?

i am very wary of people who stick their own imaginations into the unknowns, and then seek out facts and like-minded people for validation... while ignoring facts and people on the other side.

Oh and yes I did read all that you posted there and the fact is, it's insignificant.

What is significant is that like I predicted, you did not answer whether or not I was republican or democrat.

It's kinda sad that DVD is so thick that he doesn't understand that everyone knows that whatever littleflower said, DVD would say it was wrong.

Or that this fact makes his question, and his moronic posturing, pointless.

Littleflower, I read your post with interest. I, too try to read all sides, and I've found a tactic that seems very helpful.

I look for unrelated sources--that is, sources that will provide the information I need without having a political bent.

I started doing this while talking about the AGW issue. I looked for things in which people would be affected. I found stuff like harbormasters--who need to know sea levels simply to keep ships from running aground--or coming in too high on the docks, and fishermen--particularly Arctic fishermen--whose relationship with the ice is more personal.

It can be done with politics as well---one can look at voting records--see what they've DONE rather that what they SAY they've done or will do. The voting records are just there.

You get a better picture that way.

You didn't get the chance. She didn't say which party you're a member of, DVD. She avoided it--because you'd say she was wrong no matter what she said.

Now, sit down and be quiet and I'll put Bob the Builder on television for you.

!2 year old?

I think a 12 year old would do better than I up against you 2.

You guys not only are slow to the thinking, you both seem to love being in a state of denial and are in a constant delusional state.

And you both insinuate I am a democrat that is voting for Obama no less.

Rich!

Rich I tell ya.
