Alright, I have to jump in here for this mystery. Who the hell stole the gas pump? You may want to have someone stop over and check the livingroom of the guys who were stealing the gas caps. The stolen pump may be sitting right there. I'll bet you can buy it back for $10.

I'll bet the gas pump thief will be dispensing his Papst Blue Ribbon in competition with Empire Store. Maybe Bev's bar could start back up and Flash could serve up the frosty (gas flavored) brew!

Oh how my mind is spinning! AMES, how the reserection coming along? Have any of the fixtures been put into place yet?

Does anyone have a status on the progress of the store? Lots of cars and lots of activity going on, but how close to the opening are we?

Oh, pipe down.
I like capitals.
Easier to read.

If you think capitals are loud, you're probably one of those people that call typing 'chatting'.

I drove by on friday night, but it still looked pretty empty. I didn't stop to peak in the windows, though.

The Empire store is indeed open. There is a sign made out of a torn brown paper bag at the post office saying that the store is open.

The store has indeed been reopened, as of last Thursday, 11/06/08. There is milk and smokes, and yes, PBR and bacon! However, there is not much else, as of Saturday morning the shelves were looking pretty bare, and there is still a long way to go before the store is back where it was. If you haven't done so already, PLEASE consider donating a few bucks, these good folks could really use it! :!: (paypal info can be found in this thread, but I'll repost it tomorrow for the habitually lazy. I had intended to stay another day but was rained out of my camp at frog pond and returned home early. More details and some really bad phone pics tomorrow. Right now, this stoner needs to smoke a really big bowl and then crash out.

I'm still sick to my stomach.

Are those monster energy drinks?

As long as they've got that, beer and condoms you've got everything you need to serve the college market.

Though I don't guess there is a college anywhere close to there.
AMES,
I am wondering how your grandfather was planning on running the Empire store if he has no money to stock it ?

Also after reading your last post it has come to my attention that you can't spell . How are you planning on running your business ?
This is just rude and uncalled for.

For that matter, your grammar is worse than that of your garden-variety 8th grader. In your first sentence you have verb tense disagreement. In your second sentence there should be a comma after the both the word "also" and "post" in order for it to have its intended meaning.

Those in glass houses and all.
