Polls and Crowd Numbers
OK so can someone answer this for me...how could the polls be as tight as they are when there are such huge differences in the number of people that attend McCain rallies compared to the numbers that attend Obama rallies?
It would seem to me that with Obama drawing the numbers of people he does at his events he should have a much larger lead in the polls.

the probably answer:
Obamas voters are mostly younger, more willing to go hear him, and party.
McCains already know how they'll vote, and, don't party as much.........
I'd bet the demographics as to age are quite different.
Of course, it' just, IMHO.
the snide answer:
more of Obamas voters don't work, so, have time for rally's..
and McCain's can't drive anymore and are busy counting their money......
edit for more snark

The super snide answer--
Obama voters are out of work because (as they see it) they have been put out of work by the very same Bush II policies that McCain has promised to uphold.

There may be something to that, but I think it may have to do more with people who really want (or hope for) change are willing to go out and express their sentiments...theCryptofishist wrote:The super snide answer--

Well, you're prolly right, and I left myself "open" on that. lol
I just now read LF's post above, which I obviously missed. And there may be something to that.
But the last "protest" I got involved with was in '71. (What's wrong with us? )
No matter what "side" we're on politically (or none at all), so many of us are fed up with the status quo . . .

I've never attended a political rally, except the one I had when running for elected office when I was 19.........now, that was some fun.......
For me, they seem like preaching to the choir.........
the people at the rally obviously agree with the candidate, so, who's mind is getting changed?
I can see it in the sense of getting people fired up to go hit the streets and make converts......but, can't see much else. Fundraising, maybe?
I do, though, see going for the party.........festivities, that is......
Just my

I think it'd be fascinating to see a real breakdown as to poplulation and voters....Ugly Dougly wrote:Most of McCain's supporters are in Rest Homes, and because of the damn liberals, they don't have any vans for transportation to the rallies.
not just who votes for whom, but, who doesn't vote and why, ages, etc......
I'd bet that about 20% of the total population of the nation picks the leaders......
Just wonderin'.......

OH Please! She should have had her assistant vote for her. Even famous people can be stupid (like a fox). All she's doing is boosting her ratings by taking advantage of the voters worst fear, not reporting any real problem.Apollonaris Zeus wrote:Your vote will be stolen
