we dont need no stinkin edit button!

I have no problems without it. it's quite fun and challenging.
besides is'nt it the way it used to be with the old eplaya format?

not originally. it was disabled without explanation to a fair amount of protest.

it's not clear to me that the current situation is an improvement. it seems to inconvenience most users in order to restrict some small number of people from engaging in negative retroactive modifications.

there is a plan to eventually implement a compromise that should satisfy both sides, but it seems to me that the current situation is a step back rather than a step forward.
