Bored would be a nice option at work these days... we gots the noro-virus running around the dorm I work in, and it just jumped to another one in our area. Not only do I get to clean up after it, we get to wipe down handles and such in an attempt to contain it (or are we breeding a hardier virus...?!
)
I found out the hard way I am not supposed to discuss my doubts about our containment attempts over the radio yesterday, with a follow up message about my mistake today. (I think part of my problem was that I was the only one on duty yesterday and was reacting poorly to that stress...
)
Oh, and they preemptively told me not to spread rumors among the students that this outbreak was just like the beginning of Stephen King's "the Stand", save for the fact that the dead were rising up as zombies and attacking the living!
(Oh, okay, they just told me not to talk to the t.v. news crews and to be careful with what I tell the students.)

Couldn't resist.
I posted this somewhere else about something else, but you might find it funny.
I think dogs cause a lot of crashes as distractions and it's really cruel to drag them everywhere, especially when they have to sit in the car.
I hate being startled by these unhappy animals in parking lots and I discovered a way to save them the trip, next time around.
I was in a national park where you can never let your dog out of the car and this poor, unhappy dog was going crazy in the car.
After my heart returned to a normal rhythm, I opened my eyes wide and raised my arms up high and slowly advanced on the car.
As I got closer the dog went crazier and crazier.
When I had my face up to the window and the dog was losing it's mind, I brought my arms down hard on the roof.
The dog pretty much opened up and sprayed the car from one end to the other.
I bet he gets to stay home next trip.

Re: I am bored
When i was in the Air Force, we used to have the newbies do "Beacon Checks". We would give them a one minute count and ask them to count how many times they saw the green light rotating atop the tower. Another one was looking for buckets of prop wash that the crews "accidentally" would leave on the hardstand. And when we were really bored, we'd have them search for keys to the airplane. Hell, we even got a Staff Sgt looking one time.mdmf007 wrote:Entertain me - im bored, drop me a pm, a pic something personnal.

Hmmm....I think I'll have to ponder that awhile to actually be able to wrap my mind around it.theCryptofishist wrote:Think of it as depth, and you'll be just fine.jkisha wrote:Me too! I don't do too well with height.Sail Man wrote:Damn gyre, I got dizzy just looking at the pix!
