an american animal on the hunt

Post by AnAmericanAnimal » Tue Nov 18, 2008 12:26 am

In this for the effect on thought (feel the need to clarify that I don’t view thought as separate from the body nor something that can ever separate you from your body but something that is always re-filtering and adding depth to the experience of the body, woooo, mouth full) to experience an alternative culture, which is rapidly being swallowed by the existing culture of $$$ and becoming dull and I feel 7 days on the playa should do the body good. Ones I saw that the theme for the year was evolution I knew it was time, friends have been going for two years now and I feel the need to sink in my claws and get a taste of some highly expressive people of all walks of life. Just want to know what some advice for a first timer would be and if there are any theme camps centered around a mixture of art and academic (I use that term loosely) philosophy (sorry not looking for a “I read portions of some philosophy booksâ€

Oh dear, I don't know if that's the way to judge responces. Yes, we can be monumentally unhelpful at times; belive it or not, it is one of our charms. However, certain things do set us off, and your first post comes across to me as relentlessly pretentious, like you've been drinking from the post-modern Hemingway well. If you cut us a little slack just think of how you'll show us up for not doing it for you.

Is that what "I didn't understand a word you wrote" means?

I couldn't care less if you feel put off by something that is simply specific and I feel no need to speak in a way that makes 45,000+ people feel included I'm not trying to get everyone on board and how is “post-modern Hemingway wellâ€

You're coming across as a racist pig, and you're damn near as self-righteousness as Cryptofishist. At least you spell (and probably smell) a little better.

lol where the fuck did racism come in the picture? outside of saying you guys are coming across as country clubish and that is not a racist statement. i never usually say this but so far most of you have just given me nothing short of a mass amount of stupidity. being specific about what you are looking for in a camp and saying that you are looking for people who actually read philosophy not just skim is not self-righteous nor is telling people to be specific about what they take offense to or where they may be confused.
im still trying to figure out how i came across as racist especially considering i didn't make a statement about white people in general i said older white country club pricks key word pricks so fuck the lot of you and who ever actually has something to say after reflection on what they want to say feel free to talk as for those who feel the need to skim and react you can also feel free to speak i just wont particularly give a shit.
hope to hear something constructive soon so i don't have to keep making things clear for you kids.

I feel the best way to sum things up is bring your worst because I eat this shit up, I absolutely love it to my core.

I am a philosophy and political science major by the way and that mite help put things in perspective. I don't believe in environmentalism(though i do believe in many of its goals) because i think it's a farce it's a mask for the fact that we are saving our own ass not the planets, i think democracy is not so awesome unless everyone has a good ass kicking by education whether it be formal or their own sitting down and actually reading. In general find burning man comical in two ways: one, it wouldn't be possible without the society of $$$ around it and the society that it in many ways puts down, two, its claim to be radical is not so true because dancing naked is not radical, drugs are not radical, self reliance is not radical, and what the fuck do you mean by radical in the first place? to further go down the rabbit whole comical is not bad comedy is in fact quite good and is the reality we live. Vivat la Comodea bitches:) your a cause and effect relationship in a universe that is infinite (that means the universe as a whole not cause and effect) and that when you pull yourself back we live in a comedic paradox not a cause and effect drama. I believe the body lives forever and it is the soul that dies, that our soul is the expression(and much more than this our consciously developed expression) of our already dead body and when our soul dies our body continues to be what it always was... dead.

An infinite play and infinite art
are we all actors playing a part?
Is your roll spontaneous
or a mad roll rehearsed?
The mobs marionette
Where are my scissors?

inspired by V for Vendetta
