I mean...geeze? Go with the Home field advantage. Invite one or both of your parents...if even for just the first couple of days.
They Might even LIKE it!

I am just scared of getting someone in trouble, because I think it was sensi brought up that someone over 21 could get in trouble for an under age female! But I have to talk to my boyfriend about that! Not they staying and cleaning up, we were planning on doing that anyway! I just dont know about the whole being a apart of a theme camp, why cant he just go with my boyfriend and I, my first year at Burning Man I would perfer not being responsible for anything! So I dont mess up other peoples time that is, not for my own enjoyment!

I already tried to talk them into it, I even offered to buy their ticket (s) but they have to work, and cant get the time of, and they say they are too old! Blah, your never to old to do anything! Not at 40 and 38 that is! But they said I could go and that they want me to have fun!

Well, if you're in Reno, it's silly that one of your parents won't go out with you for a few days........ It's only a 2 hr drive.

You've got 7 months to "work them over"...... Call it a Birthday present........
That's they way I'd go..... that way no one else has to take that "legal" responsibility for you.

Perhaps your parents could go out just for the weekend...the first one.

You could volunteer for greeters to get ya'll in early (sat or sun)
Then they could leave on mon or tues...
good luck on getting them to leave!

Btw....the age of the avergae at burningman is 46...just in case YOUR thinking their to old.

We have a friend who still goes out....his first yr he was 84 ....he's now 92!

So ...No one is TOOO OLD!

Oh my parents dont care if it is my birthday or not, you see my sister and I are 3 years apart, I was born on her 3rd birthday, so we both have the same birthday, and since my sister had a baby, they dont even bother with me anymore! Last year they went and almost forgot me, they had to turn around! So that will not work!

ya know I thought about that over and over again, but dont know if that would work, because instead of them just letting me in because I have a ticket (if they do that is), I could get aressted for having a fake ID! And the main reason is, I dont know where to get one that would be worth the money!!!

Yes. She can always sell the ticket I suppose. Anyway, it's one thing not to ask, it's another to knowingly allow someone underage in without a guardian.

Come hell or high water I plan on being there early. My favorite part of Burningman is before the gates open to the public. The themecamp isn't really a requirement, I figured you two would enjoy your first time alot more with a themecamp. Come to think of it there is a nice lil village thats mostly Reno folks.. all of them slicker than owl shit. I would even trust em with my sister if I had one.

As far as staying a day or two after.. thats another personal choice. I want to try to be more LNT and do what I can to restore the playa I camp on to the original state. Because of my limitations it takes me a lil while longer to do some work. Its also alot easier to deal with Exodus after the mob is done congesting everything. I rather like being able to leave the playa and get to Reno in 4 hours or so instead of 12 if ya leave right after the burn. Plus its a whole lot safer for all involved.

i will have to talk to my boyfriend, it is his car! i think we are just going to try it! I talked to the Reno Regional people for Burning Man, and they said I will be fine, just to bring a notarized document with my parents signatures!

regardless - just go, your young life will never be the same. But you probably should wait until you have a failed marriage or two, a couple of mortgages, credit card debt etc, then you will really appreciate BM.

OH WOW!!!!(my happy expression)

My dad is a life saver! He talked to his freind that has been a gate greeter for the past 2 years, and he said i will be fine, they dont check for ID unless they can tell you are under age for sure! And my dad showed him a picture of me he has on his phone and he said "Oh yeah she will be fine"!!!

YESSSSSSSSS I am so FREAKING EXCITED!!!!!!!
