First timer looking for a home... for a week.
First timer looking for a home... for a week.
I have been watching from a distance for several years no but I have finally decided to take the plunge. I'm not really sure what so say here except that I totally and completely understand what BM is trying to accomplish and I am 100% down with that. I realize this is almost a year off however, seeing as this will be my first I wanted to jump in early and get involved with something, or anything! If there is anybody in my area that has any sort of theme camp they need help with, or anything else, I would be more than willing to lend a hand. No need to be shy! I am an open minded guy, pretty much anything goes so please don't hesitate to ask!

Hello Zen and welcome. Your post probably should have been in the "introduce yourself" section, but hello anyway.ZenDragon wrote:I have been watching from a distance for several years no but I have finally decided to take the plunge. If you have been reading for a while, then you know that BM is made up of "participants"! Unlike Disney World, we all make the event. Aside from port-a-potties and basic infrastucture, the art, theme camps, art cars etc., are all made by the ticket holding attebdees.
I am not sure where you are located, as you neglected to put that in your post, but you can join your regional burner group at http://regionals.burningman.com/.
There are lots of posts from firt timers on the ePlaya, and there are tons of useful tips offered for virgins. Poke around and again, welcome!
I apologize I thought I had put that in my profile information. Anyhow, it is there now! I suppose you are correct about the location of my post however this this was more directed towards volunteering to help with a Theme Camp so I thought it might be appropriate here.
Violent music, guns, and hot tubs? Interesting combination! :) I don't own or know much about guns, but who doesn't like hot tubs and violent music? Violent music in a hot tub? Do you have a website or blog? I would love to see how that all comes together! hahaha
