Small Child's Remains Found Near Home of Caylee Anthony's Family

Hmmm....

Did anyone really believe the kid was still alive and that the mother didn't do it?

I'm certainly willing to go out on a limb on this one.

I thought all the circumstantial evidence they had was pretty overwhelming. Unfortunately it proved true. :(
Excuse me Ma'am, your going to feel a small prick.

I'm surprised that this never hit the news in you guy's area. It was sort of a bizarre case and has been on the news for months now. The little girl disappeared, the mother didn't report her disappearance for over a month and said that she left the baby with a sitter. There were a ton of twists and turns.

Some of us get our news from the paper or the net, and are much less subject to the hysteria of local tv and radio sensationalism.

Just sayin'.

I read about this case online... sad, infuriating shit really. I am always amazed at the depths humanity can sink to. This case bothered me in so many ways, but mostly as a parent. How can a woman destroy what she created and gave life to? I just don't understand it. As frustrated as I get with my daughters I would die before I allowed anything to happen to them.

Just my 2 cents...

Understood. But I also get RSS feeds from most of the major newspapers and it has been mentioned there too.

Public interest stories are always, well, interesting. (at least to the masses.)

No. (and was that an intentional pun in the misspelling of my name?)

Kiska or Kiszka or many other variants in english spelling--but the word means "sausage". :) blood sausage to be exact.

So you want to go on starting pointless threads about every sordid subject you find fascinating - which has absolutely nothing to do with BurningMan btw - and the rest of us should just step around your voluminous bullshit?

You post too goddamned much. Waaaaay too much. How about limiting yourself to say 5 posts per day?

Pretty please?

Well, the very fact you don't understand it is actually a good thing!

Next we will have limits on images in sig lines.. where will censorship end.

LOL

While I agree that Open Discussion should be open I would hope that we try to stick to things at least marginally related to Burningman culture etc. Hearing about things like Chicken John running for mayor is cool but I prefer to stay away from the mainstream gore. I only clicked the link cuz I thought this was related to a burner.

So when are we gonna yak about making shit? I need cohorts for a large fabric covering for my truck sort of like a majority of mutants use with a somewhat light yet strong removable frame to stretch it over. I've come to the conclusion that my mutant will likely require a crew of 4 at least to get playa assembly done and "worked" at the event. This would be for 2010 at the earliest BTW.

perhaps, beginning a thread relating to said construction, TM?......

I just hate control and censorship.......it's always so arbitrary........even though I understand at times, a necessary evil.....

I have to say it's not all that hard to skip a thread if I don't want to read it.......
but, maybe that's just me..........

I like building stuff.......start it, I'll check it out........

WAIT A MINUTE.

Better read what the Open Discussion is forum is for.

First of all, I really like BM, and most of the people I have met there or on eplay.

BUT

Burning Man is NOT my entire life; and I doubt it consumes the entire lives of the majority of people that post here.

This forum gives us the opportunity to make closer bonds to fellow burners by sharing our concerns, interests, thoughts and feelings not only about BM but about ourselves as whole and entire people.

Maybe those that don't 'get' that, don't really 'get' the spirit of Burning Man?

Just a thought.

JK

The size of the image in your sig today is PERFECT. (IMHO)

You've posted some great pics in your sig; and I certainly wouldn't want to be deprived of viewing them or to deprive you of your right to post them. (even if I didn't enjoy them)

My only thought was that if they were too large and took too much time to download that could actually take away from the impact they might otherwise make.

If it's about Burning Man, should be in the annual threads, Experiences or Politics and Philosophy. Pretty much anywhere but here. Qwicher bitchin.
