is there a place where you can store your stuff in or around brc?

There are several 'self-store' type places. I think they come up if you google for them. I once wrote down some numbers on the way back from the burn, but I'll be damned if I can remember where I put them.

There are stories of the self storage in and around Gerlach getting broke into and rifled through.

anyone have first hand information? I wan to build a car as well, and leave it in the area. We sold the lot in Winnemucca so no more easy peasy moves to gerlach.

someone told me that as well, and it was one of the reasons why i asked.

Use commercial vendors in Reno/Sparks. Do NOT trust individual people, you WILL get fucked more often than not. Leaving a mutant vehicle near BRC could find you with any valuables ripped off and the vehicle burned to the ground.

Mike Stewart owns an awful lot of land around those parts and HATES burners. He never returned anything that he stole before he attacked a defensless parked vehicle. One of the artists begged for her art that was stolen pre-arson to be returned, no questions asked.. he ignored the poor gal but her tears brought joy to his pathetic life.

Stay away from the locals.. you HAVE been warned.
