Shoot to kill??? I guess that it's time for a luau. Is it going to be "long pig"?
Seriously Rabbi, i thought of a plan. There are thousands of trucks parked in storage yards that aren't going back to work for the foreseeable future. They pay lotsa bucks monthly. You could rent storage space in the desert for cheap. Bring out 200 trucks for $15 a month. I can whip you up some simple landmines. You can advertise it as "secure storage".

Rabbi. on a more serious note. If you plan a move on a Sunday, i'll bring out my heavier truck and move your encampment. It would be a good idea to have a couple extra people. You could bring "hippie" 8) The smaller stuff could be moved any time. The triangle is another story :?: We can lower it with 2 trucks. Dan

Say Rick.. What are your thoughts on biotecture? Saw an interesting film you might want to check out and thought of your place. The movie is called Garbage Warrior and is about this wonderful building concept. The condensed deal is as follows, take some tires and beat earth into them with a sledge. These tires than get used to form up your structures and require lil to no energy to keep hot/cold. During the day the sun heats the "walls" to keep you warm at night, while during the night cold is swapped and retained somewhat for comfort during the day.

Post by Rabbi Dali Rick » Thu Dec 18, 2008 11:08 am

i thought of that. and in fact i'm set for a trial unit to see if it works out here in the "desert". one issue is the power thing, a compressor is very power intensive. i am looking more into water reclaimation methods, rain and such...

My latest research deals with living roofs. using available roof space to grow food, with the add benefit of providing protection from hot and cold.

FYI, we drug most of the RR Ranch up the road and across the highway. It's a new property that has an old slab and a defunct well. Jan ! was the date. I made a little bo-bo and snapped a chain but, that was the only minor problem. Rick still had to move more stuff, but this got the biggest part.
He now has a slab to avoid mud. He also is less accessible from the highway. He has a whole new nation of field mice to amuse his cat.
Money and a generator would get the well cleaned out and pumping. It's shallow enough that a wind mill would pump it also. The soil doesn't look too bad. A few amendments and it would grow stuff very well. Rick, there is a place near Van Nuys airport where you can get tons of free fertilizer.
Rabbi, you should post a few pics of the big move.

Has America Jumped The Shark?

Post by Rabbi Dali Rick » Tue Feb 10, 2009 9:41 am

I don't understand why they keep giving out billions in Taxpayer money to these mega corps, and banks, and expect it somehow to trickle down to the masses. We have a Small Business Administration in place, why are we not giving out loans directly to small local business? Why are there not some sort of Micro loan program established like in Africa, a bridge loan as it were, to help give assistance to those families who are in need TODAY!.

People are losing their houses now, can't feed their families tonight, have no income of any sort coming in, and don't foresee anything coming in anytime soon. We may need to replenish our job market, one job at a time, but we can't because the banks are not giving any credit to small enterprises at this time. They were given all that bailout money to inject into the economy, only, by their own account, kept the cash in their own pockets, to insure their liquidity, just in case things go horribly wrong.

I see the Welfare system coming back online, in large part because there is nothing else. Why hasn't some of that money been channeled into that? Right now, I think they give you $100 in food stamps, and a check for $280 a month. Who, in God's name could, live off that, realistically? And I'm not talking the homeless now, I'm talking about someone like "YOU" and me. We have already been in limbo, by and large, for the last 4 months, and was held over a barrel, and forceably gang raped by the oil companies ($5 a gallon gas, remember that a few short months ago?), our government enties, giant corporations, our own banks, and anyone else have some vicarious access to our wallets. Let's not even talk about the ilk like Berney Madoff, and now a host of others that are beginning to come to light, who have literaly fleeced people, outright in front of the government watchdogs. We finally looking up from our Reality TV, to see that our own situations have become a lot more like a "End of Civilization" type movie, playing out in real life, right before our very eyes. Now, not only are things getting worse, we are being told to buckle our seatbelts, and settle in, cause it's gonna be a long and bumpy ride.

So I guess I'm asking, if I can see this seemingly simple solutions, and can figure out things to get money directly into the hands of individuals, why have all these people with the friken knowledge of Moses, can't figure out some things to help, on the micro level where it's needed?

Rabbi, here's a quote from Paulson; " "The economic problem is that consumers couldn't borrow to buy the necessities of life" Banks control GOV. Banks think that we should have to borrow to buy the necessities of life??????????? Banks and GOV know that a full-on crash is coming. They hold on to the money so that they can survive. There are plenty of people in power who know what needs to be done to save the little guy. They just have no concern for the little guy.
American full-employment was accomplished with borrowed money. The money has stopped. The banks don't want to lend money to people who are going to lose their jobs. All very logical and cold-blooded
Any chance that you could post the pics of my tractor for sailman?
