Fuck!
Damn, I mean Fuck!
It sounds like that section of highway needs to be better fucking patrolled! Glad MyLarry wasn't seriously hurt. Too bad about the car, but better than than him, I guess.
I'll try'n send some good karma your folks way (of course, my karma tends to be pretty strange..., I'll try to be careful).

That reminds me of a string of luck my Dad was having with new vehicles. 3 new cars running, he was schmucked by another car the first week of owning it, once, on his way home from the dealership after taking delivery of his new ride!AntiM wrote:Poor Larry, that's the same stretch of US89 he got smacked on on christmas back when he was driving for Armadillo.
Glad to hear MyLarry isn't too worse for wear, and what a spirit he has, making sure the beer gets delivered. Beer lovers everywhere will say a special prayer for his tenacity and dedication. Cheers!
Excuse me Ma'am, your going to feel a small prick.

Don't cheer too hard, that's fucking Coors. Thanks though.
The other driver wasn't at fault, the pickup who cut him off was .. and no one caught their plate. Just have to leave it to karma, I guess. That fucking stretch is patrolled pretty well, but it is a narrow bottleneck between a hill, a canyon and an interstate, the road out of Uintah opens onto 89 without a light. Just nasty and slippery on snowpack. Larry is already up in fucking Idaho, he's going up and over to Spokane; the route through Boise has at least two closures, bleh.

When I was in high school, here in the SLC area behind the zion curtain, the two big beer choices were fucking Coors and Budweiser. Essentially that ment that you could have beer that tasted like piss or beer that tasted like stale water. Coors is definitly a fucking aquired taste. There were beers that tasted worse, fisher comes to mind. Of course this was before micro-brews. In my area of the Salt Lake valley the overwhelming choice was coors. It still tastes like fucking piss.

They make fucking COORS out of FUCKING PISS?!! That's it, I'm never trying the stuff! (I'll stick with my "cat's piss"-- Diet Mountain Dew and Glacier Vodka-- the quality of the vodka makes up for the lameness of the soda, or so the theory goes. After a few, you won't care whether or not it works in practice!
)
I've got a whole, long fucking lists of things, any one of which, would make me happy. I could try entering it, but it gets depressing thinking about that one too long, so I will pass. (Besides, if I knew how to make myself young and healthy again, I could patented the process, and a lot of the others would be taken care of with the money I would make...! [Such as getting better funding for education and the sciences, and cutting back on the military..., just hold a few aging world leaders treatment hostage until they see reason! Fuck yeah!])

Let's give a fucking cheer for the fucking microbrews. Redeeming America from bad beer, so we can hold our heads high abroad.

Meh. I don't like Lagers and Pilsners.
Ale. Stout. Porter. So that leaves out the Germans and Czechs to a great extent.

Ogden is under-rated as a destination. Roosters doesn't have the chocolate-oatmeal all the time, but if they don't, they'll have something equally as yummy. I do have a fucking guest room ... BYOF. And you have to share with the Buckys.Box Burner wrote:Damn AntiM, I'm gonna hafta come up there and get some of that fucking Roosters Chocolate-Oatmeal Stout.

Happy fuckin' New Year.
One of my dearest friends had to have emergency surgery yesterday. He had lost a filling in a tooth which rapidly became infected. Although he has health insurance it's the type where you have to pay for the services and then wait 6-8 weeks for the insurance company to (possibly) reimburse you so he was trying to come up with the money to go to the dentist. Meanwhile, the infection spread (not to his brain thank the gods) and he ended up in the emergency room yesterday. He was taken to surgery almost immediately.
He comes off the respirator today and will be moved from Critical Care shortly after. He'll spend the next 3-4 days on an intense round of IV antibiotics in the hospital.

Enjoyed me some nice Sam Adams yesterday, I know its not a microbrew, but it does have more flavor then the usual piss beer. I'd drink more of it and it's ilk more often if I could afford to, but till then I just make do with a cold Labatts.
Getting thirsty again, Artemis!? Set up another "round"
