Maybe true.

Only got 3 hours of sleep last night and have a 13+ hour day of work ahead of me. But am planning on going to a meditation thingie tonight where we begin meditating 15 minutes before midnight. It's right near Times Square, so it's kinda cool being in deep calm when you hear in the background, the din of New Year's celebrations.

TPBM plans on kissing their sweetie at the strike of midnight.

That was indeed wrong, not thought out, Artemis. I believe she was only inspired by the freight-train hobo thread, and cleary not thinking it through. It was wrong to post that, because it was thoughtless.

TPBM is sorry.

SOOOOO true. Doh, that was indeed thoughtless of me. Cryptofishist - I rarely talk about my near death experience and because it's not visible, I don't know what it must be like to have people know about it.

Someone bit off my tongue and left me for dead about 20 years ago. I lost so much blood, by most doctor's accounts, I should have died. But I didn't and I'm grateful for that. I was told that I would never speak coherently again and would need to learn sign language. But they were wrong.

My ex-husband was often thoughtless about it. He would tease me about not being a good kisser, forgetting that sometimes I just got uncomfortable tongue-kissing. He once told me I talked too much and he understood why my tongue had been bitten off...I hope that my comment today did not anger you nearly as much as my ex-h angered me with that comment.

TPBM is grateful to be divorced too.

Why, do you have some? :D

One of the first things I did on Playa this year was go into the Moonshine Tavern on orders from the girl at the Bad Advice Booth across the street. When I walked in, there was a guy standing on a bench yelling "YOU LOVE IT! YOU LOVE IT!!" at one of the bartenders. So I replied "I love it" and sat on the bench next to him. "I thought you would," he said, and handed me a brownie. I have to agree with the bartender (whose name I can't remember now)... the Bad Advice Booth wasn't giving out nearly bad enough advice! :P
