New Burner... Excitied!

Post by Medium » Sat Jan 03, 2009 1:13 pm

Been planning to attend BM for about 3 years. Finally I'm not dating some psycho chick, so here I come, and my best bud is coming too!

We're both dj's into house, techno, trance, dance music. Hoping we can find a camp where we can plug into a sound system. We're planning to bring decks, mixers and the like, but coming from the east coast makes it hard to bring more (Virginia Beach)

If anyone knows a good camp where we might fit in let me know. We're both really looking forward to it. Seems almost too good to be true. Neither of us will let the other wiggle out of coming this year!

Well, I've learned that all you can do is make a plan and then after its set into motion, who knows what will actually happen, so many people miss out on the best things in an effort to stick with the "plan".

I'm already learning that BM is more than and different than and exactly like what I might be expecting, depending on what actually happens... :) based solely on the experiences of others share....

BTW: I just realized 50 to 100% of everyone there is a DJ, so maybe it would be better to consider myself as an active live installation...

Cheers!

M

No worries if you’re not married to one by August. There will be a few there and weddings are performed on the playa.

How did this move from being an intro for a DJ who wants to spin some techno and house tracks to me getting married to stranger whom I've never met but am madly enough in love with to get married to in the desert surrounded by other people whom I also do not know, some of whom are throwing paper flowers and making well wishes for people they also have not met before and wondering what we'll be naming our kids and how cool its going to be to celebrate our wedding anniverary next year and maybe they should get us a gift but maybe not...?>?>?

I'll keep my eye out for crazy chicks just in case you guys are right. By the way, we'll be registered at Target if you want to get a gift....

welcome, Medium.

And if you think this drift was random, imgagine walking out from your camp with the intention of visiting someone and then finding that 8 hours have passed wandering around the playa and you're on your way back to camp. Mission not accomplished. Drift is inevitable.

Ah, so its not about the destination, its about the journey? Just goes to show you can't plan to have fun or adventure, its something that happens along the way if you're smart and lucky enough to let it happen.

I'll bring my Tao of Pooh, just in case I need a roadmap to get me back to where I am supposed to be, or where I am at the time, which undoubtably will be the same location - at least that's what I'm not planning... :)

Hey, can I have one of those juice boxes? I'll trade you some bacon...
