I'm sorry for the loss of your sweet curly Jacks. What a good dog. What a good, good dog. When I go home tonight I'll give my 3 little doxies an extra scratch and tell them of Jacks.....

Santa's baby is gone at 81.

At least I can say I saw her in person a few times.

Wow. I didn't hear about that. He was relatively young I think. Wasn't he married to the Houston actress? What happened?

Struck by a car walking across the street.

Last words to me where "Where am I"

I dreamed about it all night last night. Nothing I could have done except keep him company until the medics and police arrived. He passed as they pulled up.

Last night was good.. still a lil depressed tho

Initially I stopped just to keep some goofball from moving him or otherwise furthering his injuries. Still can't get his face outta my head. Welding is helping.. maybe I'll get the something done on the mutant this week. On the positive side my foot nerves are no longer RIP.. I am finally beating this RSD crap out of my foot. No pain=No Gain seems to be effective with the forced bending and stretching phys therapy of my big toe, DVD via netflix. Who woulda thought netflix would have been better than the dozens of docs. I'm able to do junkyards again now and can walk in the supermarket without paying a price at night.

One day at a time Toolmaker.

What's helping me - and may not help you - is to break up the grief into pieces:
- She's gone, just as if she had run off with some Peruvian guy without notice. I am missing her.
- She's dead, and my big-hearted saint/angel is no doubt in a better place, if there's any justice in the world.
- I am reminded of my mortality and I need to make the best use of my days.
- There's something else, but I won't remember it until after lunch.

You are going to be depressed on and off for a long while to come. It may be that even when you have rebuilt a life and have every happiness you can, that you will still have days when every movement hurts, when the mere act of drawing a breath gives you vertigo.

We are not born knowing how to mourn, yet we must do it over and over.

Maybe not. Each person experiences these things differently. For some the effects are minimal.
