The Evolution of Black Rock City
I was just kinda sittin' here and I was thinkin' that it would be a growth or evolutionary idea for Black Rock City, (we do have our own post office) should perhaps consider playing the game of ELECTIONS.
I'm not sure how to form the idea, perhaps ballots or something included with tickets that could be turned in upon entry to the city expressing your voting preferences. or???
Just a thought, I guess I'll just run it up the flag pole and see if anyone salutes.
(consider the items to vote on)
1. controling leo needs as any other city does
2. vote in a city council who could have a lot of fun for a few days.
3. Vote for a future theme???
ok, my head hurts now.. anyone?

i like the idea of voting on a theme... theres always some complaints about it (esp. the last 2 years), and more involvement would probably do alot to bring out radder themes in general, more inventive or collabrative. other than that though, voting seems too much a part of non-playa life, more of a square human institution than a freaker or tweeker one.

Voting is the first step on the slippery slope towards democracy.

i think not.
OBEY, do not question, do not even THINK of thinking.

Making Twains run on time is not a huge feet. As we all slip and slide to becoming margarine, and to think? We could have been butter at this!Simon of the Playa wrote:Voting is the first step on the slippery slope towards democracy.
