One of the central points that is causing big problems is that the Palestinians elected Hamas in an election that observers say was a fair democratic election. The Sauds don't want an incursion of democracy,,, nor the other neighboring monarchies.
The Palestinians are in the unfortunate position of having NO friends with any power. Mubarak has shit on them. The monarchies want Hamas gone. I've been to most of the countries in the neighborhood. The Arabs are trying to be pragmatic. The Christians are always running for cover. They get attacked regularly. The Persians don't want to get nuked. Palestine has no champion.
The israeli power structure generally claims that the Palestinians are NOT human. They're just killing cockroaches as far as they're concerned. The ethnic cleansing has been going on for decades. Read what Mother Theresa had to say about it.
Mankind has left behind all the old books of law and bloodshed. The only exception is the talmud. The old testament,, the codes of Hamurrabi, the Roman codex. We've left them all behind us. We have the books that didn't deal in blood still with us. The Gita, The Kybalion and many others.
The old books demanded blood for everything. Read Deuteronomy. The jews cling to their old bloody books.
There is no place, in a world that claims to be civilized, for books that guide a people to kill all rivals. The old testament says "kill". The talmud is not quite so bloodthirsty, so, one has to grab whatever book best fits your desired outcome.
israel kills to stifle other competing populations. It's just that simple.
We read that the Hutsus killed 450,000 of the Tutsis,,, or that the Matebele killed 1.2 million of the Ngorongoro. The israelis fit in nicely with the other racist mass-murderers. They have no claim to being called civilized.

TEL HASHOMER, Israel - For days, Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish, a physician from the Gaza Strip, was a voice from the war zone, telling Israeli radio and television stations in fluent Hebrew about life under fire as Israeli troops pursued a ground offensive against Hamas.

On Friday the unspeakable happened. An Israeli shell hit a room where the doctor's daughters were gathered, killing three of them and a cousin. His broken voice brought the tragedy into Israeli living rooms.

"They killed my daughters," he sobbed over a cell phone after the strike, his agony broadcast live on Channel Ten television. Israeli medics were dispatched to evacuate the doctor along with a wounded brother, daughter and niece to the Sheba Medical Center near Tel Aviv.

Abuelaish, 53, a gynecologist, works three days a week at Sheba as a health policy researcher, and unlike most Gazans, is permitted to travel to Israel, where he has friends and acquaintances.

A father of eight and a widower, Abuelaish stayed with his children, his brothers and their families â€” 25 people in all â€” in a five-story building in the town of Jabalya, even as neighbors fled to escape the fighting.

"Where to leave?" he said in an interview at the hospital on Saturday. "No place is secure in Gaza, not mosques, not schools."

The family hunkered down in a virtual no-man's land. "No one could approach the place," he said. "We couldn't go outside because we were scared they would shoot at us. No water, no electricity, no gas, no phone. I charged my mobile phone from a radio battery."

"I tried to keep my children away from the windows, in the living room, sleeping on mattresses, dividing them up," he said, so they would not be a risk in the same place.

When an Israeli tank appeared in the area one day, Abuelaish called his Israeli media contacts and an Israeli liaison officer he knew, and the tank moved on.

On Friday afternoon the family gathered for lunch, cooked on a kerosene stove by the doctor's oldest daughter, Bisan, 20. She had become "a mother to my children after I lost my wife" to leukemia in September, Abuelaish said.

Bisan, a senior at Gaza's Islamic University, where she was studying business and finance, had met Israelis at the Creativity for Peace camp in New Mexico, which promotes reconciliation among Palestinian and Israeli teenage girls, the doctor said. He added that another of his daughters received calls during the Gaza fighting from concerned Israeli friends she had met at the camp.

After lunch, the doctor's daughters and two cousins went to the girls' bedroom. Abuelaish played with a son, hoisting him on his shoulders.

Then a blast hit the room where the girls were gathered.

"I found my daughters in pieces," he said. Bisan had been thrown from a bed to the floor. Mayar, 15, and Aya,, 14, were also dead, along with Noor, a 17-year-old cousin. Shatha, 17, who was wounded in the eye, was a straight-A student, and had plans to continue her studies abroad, her father said. "They killed their dreams," he added.

The Israeli army said it was investigating, and that an initial inquiry showed that "soldiers were apparently fired upon" from the doctor's building "or its vicinity."

Abuelaish insisted that there were no Hamas fighters in the area, and that he would not have allowed any militants near his home.

"Even if someone was firing, why did they shoot only at my daughters' room?" he asked.

"Military action will not lead to anything, and I have been saying loudly in Gaza that I am against firing rockets. They are a danger to the Palestinians," the doctor said, referring to Hamas attacks on Israel that triggered the Israeli offensive.

"I believe in saving lives, not killing," he added. "My children should be the last price, the victims of peace and a cease-fire."

Ok, this is the most incredible story I have watched yet. this Doctor works in Israel taking care of Israelis that are affected by rockets from Gaza. This story is just now exploding in Israel because he was broadcasting live everyday on Israeli tv showing the results of those that were hurt by Gaza rockets. BtW, this story was hard to find being that it just happened and the Google stories have been changing on it by the second and disappearing just as fast. Enjoy!

And mind you, the story/clip is not complete. Once that Doctor arrived in Israel today, Israelis that watched the show gave him an earfull and called him a liar and why was he doing that on tv.

You obviously have not viewed the facts I have posted either. Palestinians and others in the area have been defending the Palestinians for 41 years of Israels aggressions. When you see rockets go into Israel they go in AFTER Israel goes into Gaza and kills a few people. This is a fact you need to look up if you dont want to view the facts I posted.

Gee DVD you need to get off of attack mode. I am not disputing your facts. And while I was aware that not all Palestinians are not Muslims I did not know that there was a large number that are not. Not that it matters.

I was speaking a little bit tongue in cheek.

Not all religions believe that their god is the only God or that you need to believe in him. Yes you are right in that most of them do. And most of them are content to follow the teachings of their religion and be good little believers while the will of god takes it's course. This was the basic belief of all the peoples in the area until the creation of the Isreali state. It was not needed and is certainly resented. I am aware that Israel has taken a strike first attitude. It is unfortumate that the Israeli leaders have decided to force the hand of their God. But I do not believe that you will find perfect righteosness on any side of the fence either. There are fanatics on all sides and each is holding up his god, waving his flag and pointing a finger, In the same way that bush and shrub have waved the 9/11 flag every time they wanted to do something that was not right. And just like here in the US the majority of people who do not think what their "leaders" are doing is right just sit there with their collective thumbs up their asses and let them get away with murder. Don't quibble over scale. Killing only one person in an attack is no more righteous than killing a thousand. I doubt that anybodies god is pleased. No matter who started it.
