If the CL add expired (or was removed by owner as in this case) doesn't that mean the items are sold and no longer available anyway? What would be the purpose of posting up the CL ad info? Wouldn't that just cause the CL poster to be bombarded with a bunch of unnecessary emails inquiring about items that are already sold?

You never know.
I have bought more than one car from expired ads, once from an ad over a year old.
Sometimes people have similar things that weren't posted.

If the ad has expired, you can't use craigslist for contact anyway.

Slightly off-topic... What are we going to do with all those barracks pods in Irag? Send them to Afganistan?

They are the size of conex trailers, wet ones have a commode and shower at one end. Dry ones just have bunks and clothes lockers. We don't use quanset huts much any more...

they would be perfect for a pod slumville on playa. Gov't liguidation has regular trailers on auction
