While not normally our first choice for music, Streisand's talent can't be denied, and this is a legit thought (I think):

Simon, get them to challenge the cop to a double blind smell test of detection.

They would probably back down to avoid destroying the cop's credibility.

Once you do this to an official, it sticks, if you make sure attorneys know about it.
It looks like I may be about to do this to our utility company here, and they are already mired in scandal and criminal charges.

They came up with a bill for $1300 on a closed account for charges they "forgot to charge me for".
It is impossible to verify any of it now, one way or the other.
I haven't had utilities for over a month now.
And they always call it stolen, when they fuck up.
Third time it's happened to me so far.

Amen, Gyre. And for that, he needs an attorney who is known for taking up the court's time as far as when they see him walk into the courtroom, they say to themselves, "Oh, gawd. Here we go for a two-hour hearing instead of a 10-minute one, and he's gonna demand a jury trial."

Those attorneys cost $6K as opposed to $2000. But they're worth it.

I've been a freelance court reporter for 25 years and have seen plenty of attorneys worth their salt (with the right case) beat charges that had holes in them.

If the cop smelled marijuana "near" him, why didn't he ask him to take a blood test for drugs (assuming he didn't)? What does "near" mean, and what is his freakin' training and experience? like you implied.

(Good luck with the utilities, Gyre!)

OK, so Streisand is extremely talented at making ultra-shitty music.

She is a great singer and performer. I love her music, although I don't listen to it much. Thanks for the post, although I couldn't listen to the whole song, I liked the part I did listen to and glad I have the ability to choose. Maybe you have to be old enough to remember her when she was really fuckable.

Just one more leeetle post about Streisand and then you can say: Fuck YOU!

I watched "The Way We Were" on YouTube a couple nights ago -- all 14 sections of it. LOL

I never heard the Pointer Sisters do that one before, but I think they really shine at this kind of stuff:

I always considered California as Texas's erection.
