So yea..... All I will ask for is $2500.00 if there are other expenses I am sure I can cover it.......

As for springbar......... I think the Kodiak is way better...... I looked at the specs and the kodiak seems to have a more heavy duty frame and the seems are welded to prevent moisture from leaking in, just in case it rains.... I also figure if I get that tent.... it should last a few years.....

You all fucking rock!!! Thank you everyone for all your help...... I still may come to you guys for more help if needed.

lets just hope the $2500.00 gets approved!

How do you weld canvas seams?

Who handles warranty repairs on the Kodiak?
Maintenance and repair is the most important thing you get with good outdoor gear.
This is why most of the outlet N Face stuff is way over priced these days.
Tailoring is crucial on tents too, even extremely simplistic ones like these.

Why do you think the frame is stronger, exactly?

Springbar is 1" galvanized aluminum
Kodiak is 1" Galvanized steel

they both have limited life time warranties....

The kodiak is less expensive and to me seems to be a lot more than the spring bar.....

the only thing I do not like is that the kodiak is made in china

look at the comparison sheet

The aluminum is a giant step up to me.
The price difference is too slight for me to buy from china, also.

Some things you have to compare close up and I haven't had a chance to do that yet.
Quality of materials and work is what counts with tents and you have to examine these.
I feel much more faith in springbar after talking to them though.

If weight is a big deal, ask springbar to do a heavier floor or roof or whatever.
You should have time for the order.
They have canvas options too.

We've had people posting that have had one or the other.
Has anyone taken a close look at both, in person?

well, I guess I will just wait to get what I asked for to be approved and go from there

I like how kodiak says, Springbar makes a damn good tent. but ours is better......

But I like that you ask has anyone seen it in person?

:D
A burn or two ago, I met a group who told me their employer sent them all to BM as a team building excercise. That seems like a splendid idea to me!

Burning man is passé for that now.
Next year it will be guantanamo for corporate team building.
