I get phpBB: Critical error Could not connect to database whenever there are a lot of people logged on. Annoying as hell. And likely to make me stop using the system. Response time is not great, either. My connection is extremely fast for everything else, so it's not just lag in our network.

Me too. Though this has diminished in the past
couple days, I think (have been using it less).
In the past several days I've been okay with
the speed and responsiveness.

There's been times today that the server has been a total dog. Of course I'm at work and the firewall over here sucks too. Still this seemed like e-playa lag ad my other websites were coming up at the time.

They might want to look at the load balancing on the servers and see what's going on.

Thanks for the feeback. I was unaware of the "too many connections" problem and we'll fix that. Right now this app shares the server with our mail server, which processes more spam than Hormel. Sometimes this may impact the response time, but it's usually "bursty". Don't fret!! We're working on moving the mail to another dedicated server. This should help. Please keep in mind, this is a brand new system and we're monitoring it.

I understand your frustration, Chimp. As soon as we have the guidelines posteed, we will be able to handle the crossposters.

That said, there's no reason to push anything to the top of the feedback forums, as no one is crossposting here.
