Hello everyone

Post by anthony paul » Tue Jan 13, 2009 10:04 am

What's up Burning Men and Women (hehe)?
This year will be my first BM event, and I am pretty excited about it. I've heard nothing but awesome things about it, and the friends of mine that have gone in the past have sworn allegiance to BM. lol

Anyways, it is going to be a fun time and I hope to meet some of you in the near future.

Greetings A.P. welcome to eplaya. Yes, it's easy to get lost in here for hrs on end, lots of good reading and tidbits. Lots of sage advice in these parts, you can also pick up stuff in the Tribe groups, at least when their not melting down :D
Excuse me Ma'am, your going to feel a small prick.

Yeah, its an x-ray taken in December. He destroyed that arm in a snowboarding accident... I'll let him tell the rest of the story.

Haha yea that's me alright. A friend and I went snowboarding at the end of November, because the resort opened 2 weeks early. WOO HOO! Well, we went for the day and about an hour before we were to leave, I hit a jump and put too much weight on the front of the board (don't ask how).

I flipped head over heels and tried stopping myself with my hand but that broke my wrist. I then landed on my shoulder, dislocating it, and fracturing it. It was awesome! I couldn't move it. No feeling at all. I was rushed to the nearest Hospital that was an hour away and they gave me morphine, or what I like to call awesome-phine.

I had to wait about a week till they could do surgery, and I have been in physical therapy for about 4 weeks now. If you check my myspace page, you can see all the pictures from it in the album called "snowboarding trip" or something like that. It hasn't stopped me from playing out or anything though. Made it more challenging, actually, to DJ with one arm

Airport metal detectors must explode when you come through!

Thats chicken shit that they wouldnt let you engrave the titanium - I can understand the liability risk of infection though.

You do have the right to view the implants, and you also have access to your x-rays if you want them.

I have access to the files i just can't take them out of the hospital since I'm still an active patient. (or so they say, i think they just think theyre amazingly cool and want them all to themselves.)

I actually set off very few metal detectors. I'm not sure why. it depends on the sensitivity settings i suppose.

LOL, MyLarry has so much natural iron in his body, he set off the metal detector in Madrid after he had removed everything but his clothes. Time for him to give blood again.

They should let you have copies.
Ask a doctor.
They can sign them out.
MRI films copy very well to a blueprint machine and can then be photocopied and enlarged.
You may have to look around for one.

Tell them you want a traveling file you can carry with you.
You have a right to that.

Failing that, get the best camera you can and photograph there.

Yea this is B.S. They will let you have copies. The hospital is just being stupid if they don't let you have them. I paid like $10 or something, and I got 3 CD's of x-ray pictures. Ask them for copies, or something.

I have eight or ten cds and as far as I know they were free.

Of course, they are in German. And they were being carried along with whatever other medical records to my hospital here.

Hi and Welcome, Olliecat....

It's open camping, except for Theme Camps, so you can just find a spot and camp anywhere, but there....

A lot of people go on their own, many link up with others, thru here or Tribe or Regionals....... I think Stag Camp (mostly Virgins and Individuals) are going to be there this year. You can find their thread in the 2009 Theme camp thread.......

Welcome, and Enjoy!!!!!!

Stag Camp 2009?

Post by olliecatt » Wed Mar 18, 2009 2:51 pm

Thanks!
I checked out the thread, but I am still confused :?
I think we are arriving on Thursday, I guess we just find a spot or is it best to try to find a camp to join?

I recommend just finding a spot. You'll meet a lot of new people, and for your first year, Theme camps can be a lot of work...... But it's your choice...... 8)
