Fucking comcast fucking pisses me right the fuck off. I wake up this morning, power everything on. No wifi, no internet on the PC, no digital home phone. Gee, what do they all have in common? Oh, could it be the MODEM?! So I do the reboot thing, no good. I call comcast and the so-called tech insists these are two separate problems and I have to start plugging and unplugging things, and rebooting and powering up and down and help him check IP addresses. His conclusion? The phone wiring in my house and the ethernet cable for my router (oh, and PC when I skipped the router) went bad. Both of them, in the middle of the night. Right. BULLSHIT! I worked in electronics long enough to know you do not get two wiring problems simultaneously when there's nothing touching the wiring (I have plaster walls, I can't even get rats or bugs) and there's no weather issues indoors.

He's lucky I simply snarled good-bye in a nasty tone instead of giving ion to the urge to tell him he was FUCKING USELESS. I hung up and reran all the rebooting/reset by myself. It works now. Hmmm, could he have simply needed to ping me? Dumb bastard.

fukin Comcast modems....sometimes they take a long time to get stupid on a reset/re-power before getting found again..

but then there was a microsoft update last night.......luckily didn't FUCK up anything here.
