Bondage Tree Art Sculpture

I'm interested in creating a sculpture for the playa. I'd like to build a bondage tree. Primarily made of wood. Something thats a bit gothic in style which incorporates elements of a cathedral in its design as well. It would have many attachment points built onto it, as well as some rope and nylon webbing. In some places there would be shackles attached ranging from simple velcro to more elaborate buckling ones. Perhaps a stockade, like the puritans used. The intention for the whole project is for people to be able to interact with the tree and each other with bondage at all levels of experience from novice to expert and from playful to serious. I love the idea that through bondage to the tree people become part of the sculpture. I want to make the tree so that all parts of it are visually interesting; so that it supports examination and photography from each part to the entire sculpture. I'd also like to write thought provoking quotes about the meaning and nature of bondage on the tree and perhaps on placards around it. I'd like to design the tree so that it's well shaded in the day and well lit at night, mostly with LED rope light. I'd like to use as much salvaged and recycled materials for construction as feasible.

I'm not able to realize this project entirely by myself. I would need help with construction, and help in finding a place to store it as it's being built, and help with transporting it to the playa. I welcome help from anyone interested in this project, especially from other bondage enthusiasts and kink oriented artists. Please contact me if you're interested in helping.

Not sure about building it but my girlfriend was a bondage model for 2 years. She is flexable and loves suspension. Let me know if you want me to put you in touch. I'm sure she would love to 'hang' out....ha! Get it? Hang?....... :roll:

I have a scultpure studio, specializing in wood sculpture, here in Carson City. I have stumps, trees, logs etc. and I know where there is more... I also have lots of grounds around the studio if you need a place to stage your sculpture.

I checked Lana's footage. Incredible. I've also read of your project. Equally so. I've been fascinated, intriqued,and curious of the bondage field. I've been experimentive and found myself "raising the bar" if you will. I would be thrilled to see what develops at the burn this year. Please do not let anyone shoot your idea down or devalue it in anyway. It would be a great dis-service to your friends. I'm starting to sound like a freak here. Fuck it.
