I think he took the advice of those around him and the threat of losing alot of things, bannishment from the sport as well as his sponsors. He's young give him his time.cowboyangel wrote:Phelps coulda showed some spine and rather than retreating to lick his wounds, came out with a bold and educated position for legalizing the damn stuff.
I do like the response that this issue has received. Alot of support for legalizing the stuff.
Those people against the stuff are starting to die off and not too soon.
Thanks Littleflower for the post! It's a good example of anti pot progaganda that Bullshit artists like the DEA are known for. I haven't researched who funded it but I wouldn't be surprise that it came from the Britist anti-pot groups.
"The study is based on findings from 369 men with testicular cancer who were questioned about their history of cannabis use. The results were compared with 979 men who did not have cancer. Cannabis was linked with testicular cancer independently of smoking, drinking and family history."
Those that smoke and those that do not have completely different life styles. "Linked independently" so how is that worked out. You can't run a true scientifically clinical tests with humans without controlling all factors in the test for the total time period. One test I will use that is similar was done several years ago that concluded that drug crazed concert goers had brain damage from using drugs. It was recently disproven because of more knowledge of tramatic brain damage. The cause was found to be:
Head Banging!
Not drugs at all.
Another study that found that smoking pot in adolescents led to severe pyschosis was actually caused by meth and other amphetamines. In fact in the same time period, the DEA made reports of a nation wide meth epidemic. This study came out some time after that report.
So we can say that drugs lead to Burning Man and that leads to Eplaya so to pregnancy! Someday that too will be disproven!
