Stagtastic this year - my evolution
5th burn...1st one going stag. Just broke up 8 + year relationship. Good times but lots of BS too ...like him being crazy jealous at the burn. Way to harsh a girl's buzz...would have never hurt him/was crazy about him. But now free, free, free from the drama!
So.....my first burn on my own terms. Anyone else been there done that?
Thinking I may go early...stay late...and simplify. My evolution has begun.

Stag camping
It's a bit more effort but it's so worth it being responsible for only your mess and no one elses. Also being able to come an go on your own schedule cuts down on the stress a lot.
Check this thread for some great suggestions on camping solo:

While this will be my first burn, I just got out of a 7-year relationship and I will be going solo as well. I'm looking forward to making lots of new friends.
I'm not the most outgoing person in the world at first so I'm looking for the best way to meet people. I have heard there may be some kind of census project that I could volunteer for? That sounds interesting.

Well Mabu..
You will definitely make friends. No doubt.
While the census is a worthy cause...I dunno if you're gonna meet the most people that way. Maybe lamplighters or working at center camp selling coffee or arctica selling ice. That'll get you outta your shell.
Here's to freeedom on the playa! May the force be with you.....

I'm coming from a similar place, too. The Burn works well as a Rite of Passage.buttercups wrote: So.....my first burn on my own terms. Anyone else been there done that?

I bought my ticket planning to come single. Since then I have connected with some other virgins and our group is now 4. And there are others as yet uncommited. And it's early.
At this rate I will be founding a virgin camp. Just need to figure out how to keep the barbiarians from finding our location too early in the week...
