First and 1/2 times burner

Post by mickeyroi » Fri Feb 06, 2009 5:25 pm

Hi everyone! I am new on eplaya and I already feel Home.

First to explain the first and 1/2 times thing... I came to the burn last year on Friday night and left early Sunday morning (for scheduling reasons I won't bore you explaining), so though the 36 hours blew my mind away, I just know that I haven't truly subjected myself to the full BM experience.

I just got married and convinced my wife to come with me this year, but I had to promise renting an RV, which I just booked (last year I joined my brother in a tent in an Esplanade camp). I am not looking forward to cleaning up the RV upon return, but c'est la vie. I've seen a couple of posts mentioning tips and tricks on keeping an RV clean and I will be definitely be adopting some of these recommendations.

Question is now where to camp (we will arrive Wednesday night). I have to keep the right balance between not being "too close" to loud music, but without exiling myself to the outer rims of the city. Any thoughts on good spots for such purposes would be welcome..

Anyways...hi to all, and can't wait to come Home!

The Moose

PS: we will be driving from Orange County and there will be 2-4 additional sleeping spots in the RV. We will be looking for people to rideshare with us and share accommodations there, to help keep the costs down. If you're interested, let me know.

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Oh Ouch! Sail Man are you looking for trouble?
A person without a sense of humor is like a wagon without springs. It's jolted by every pebble on the road.
