so this weekend was the deadline i gave my friends to commit or omit.
planned and did all the homework for our camp's plan A. it was totally awesome if i say so myself.
and it required a ton of work, teamwork. and lots n lots n lots of effort on my part.
and, being the falkesters that all of my friends are, they of course flaked.
i feared this initially.
but to be quite honest i feel
SO RELIEVED!
this is my story and i'm sticking to it.
FREEDOM!!! LET IT RING!!!!

::sigh::
well.
the idea was to have a Hotel. provide a place for wanderers and newly-mets to crash at.
do a bed n breakfast one day.
throw parties in our ballroom.
and decorate the crap out of it with lots of flowing fabrics and flags. run with a moroccan sort of motif.
put our tents on the shady side of it, since well, it'd be 3 stories tall!
made of scaffolding. i researched and found companies that do in fact have scaffolding suitable for living on.
we wouldn't live on it, make it mostly Chill Area - esque. a place to sleep, weather permitting. and damnit i would have slept up there almost every night. a place to see the sun rise and set with a spectacular view of the playa. no walls, just flowing fabric to let wind blow thru as it pleases. i suppose tie all the pillows and cushions down.
ladders to put up / take down as needed.
i have details and diagrams and quotes from rental places if anyone would like to take my Plan A and make it happen.
i figure, there's always future years. i am in no rush.
