I'm getting a connection refused when I try to load the site.

What's the details on the user that went to Pincus' house? That sounds like an entertaining story that very much needed to be filmed sans Michael Moore.

None as far as I know. I was just kidding. Really. But just for fun, let's pretend that I wasn't, and make our own story.

Pincus lives on Battery in the financial district right?

Why not? Mildly interesting detail: I just did a domain name search on Tribe, and found out that Darren owns the domain. So where Pinkus is living, I could only guess. But why not? Let's put him in the financial district. We'll have a pissed off Darren taking the domain away from him, and Pinkus staging a bomb threat in the financial district out of frustrated rage.

So, how's the crime-fighting coming along? Do you see the story of your exploits reaching a climax any time soon? :)

Could you mean "ala Micheal Moore"? I mean, unless we get Michael Moore to do the interview it will be without him.

And yes, it is hell to correct someone's french. Poof. Can someone please make an error in German so I feel cool for knowing as much german as I do? Please?

Tribe is consistently proving they are a joke.

Aren't these guys at all the least bit embarrassed? :?

You'd think they would be. BTW, directories on their site are failing to display again on the individual tribes. Amazing. The good news is that Mark Pincus just made a deal with New Systems Associates, and they're going to fix everything.

NOT!

Do a domain name search on tribe.net. The so-called new guy is Andrew Trader.

Go visit the Zynga company homepage and look up a few names.

"Founder and CEO": Mark Pincus
"EVP, Sales and Business Development and Founding Team": Andrew Trader

Google "New Systems Associates". Nobody other than Pinkus ever mentions them, except for people replying to Tribe's press releases, and Pinkus never names even one of the "long time Tribe users" in the group. Guess why.

LMAO and wondering who Pinkus thought he was going to fool.

Ok, now this is hilarious:

Slow log ins, occasional errors today (4 Dec 08)

http://blog.tribe.net/thread/bd743110-7 ... 2934b60ecd

One of the web servers has had some problems today which has resulted in slow logins or error messages. If you are having trouble logging in (in which case I realize you probably can't see this message), it has helped most users to restart their browsers. For some users (1 in 10 or so) a second restart might be necessary if the problems continue after the first restart.

We will have the problem resolved tonight.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Ok, fact is, Tribe at this second is fucked up.

I offered my services for free just now.

They should take it while I am here in San Francisco right now, and if they don't , it's on them.

I can fix it for sure but it is up to them.

Period.

And can you believe they are still offline?

I would not care to have my name associated with the IT team of Tribe at this moment.

Wonder what happened with all that subscription money they got?

Even more amazing, it always is down when i need to contact these people the most.

I'm sure no one will answer but I'll ask anyway.

For those of you that are premium holders on Tribe, are you satisfied with what you are paying/paid for?

holy crap batman!!

I must lead a sheltered life.
I just went to check out the "Burning Man" stuff on Tribe......

there is so much, where does a person even begin?

I've not really spent any time there, popped in a couple of times. I belong to a couple of small "tribes" but,
Jeeze.........

kind of scared me.......

are there certain threads regarding BM to check out?

i just cant deal with it, it stinks of hippy.

my cousin gigs that...he's all tribey and shit.

and he know the current trustafarian vernacular, where as i am a bit rusty on.

it's mostly my "doods" and "way hellas", i havent been to bonaroo, so i'm just not hip to all the new ridiculous flavors of pot, like Beasal, a cross between blueberry and diesal, or Cotton Brandy, or Grapefruit-mango cough.

see what i mean, it's worse than a white guy talking "jive".

now i am truly showing my age.

and what in god's name is a hacky sack, and just exactly how is that supposed to be fun?
