I just have to ask this question...please dont be mad!

Post by my innerself » Sat Apr 03, 2004 3:36 am

I live in Australia and have known about the BM experience for sometime now, I unfortunately haven't been yet but am intending on going this year (cross my fingers). Now for my question, is it easy to obtain various ilicit recreational drugs at BM? Please dont bombard me with hate mail because I said the D word here in the bulletin board, but lets face it, its a big well known part of BM, and there isn't anywhere else I can get an answer to this question here in Australia.

Peace!!!

It's a good idea to have a look around the board before asking obvious questions. Check out the C O P S & D R U G S thread-- everything that needs to be said on the topic (and more) has been said there.

I don't hate you.

However you are asking about how to commit a crime in public forum that is read by many, including members of the law enforcement community. What kind of answer are you expecting to receive?

Something to keep in mind.

I don't think we need to go down this road again. The question has been answered non-publicly. Let's let this thread sink, eh?

Ah, one can only hope.

But this topic is like a Texas cockroach--and even harder to kill.

this board operates under the presumption that people will read it before posting. that presumption may be regularly violted, but there's no accounting for impoliteness (or poor choice in thread subjects that makes it difficult to find previously asked questions in the same vein.)

given that presumption, it is worthwhile to publicly post a correction, preferably explaining why. this is less for the benefit of the original poster than it is for subsequent readers who may be tempted to start their own threads.

And for the record, using our server to send private messages about how to break the law is still violating our terms of service...and, if you care about the future of the event, really, really stupid.

I guess you must be used to hearing that. Personally, I think there are better words out there to chose from.

"How brilliant of you to be so in touch with your feelings."

Is that better?

As for the OP, she/he doesn't explicitly express the wish to buy drugs, but we don't usually help students with their soc/anthro homework either.

Well said Bob.
Love everyone honey
No, thank you, I do not and regardless, choosing to not wipe a word from my lexicon based the on the preferences of a person who, apparently, chose to make those preferences known on their second post has little to nothing to do with being a loving person.

Sometimes it is perfectly appropriate to apply a negative word to a person and their behavior *and* it can be a loving action.

I second that 'no thank you'. Some people just suck and are undeserving of my love.

How do you tell someone that all beings on this planet are not beautiful or worthy of our time? No matter how much love and care and sunshine you give bad seed it is still gonna come up a weed. All you do by cultivating it is make it stronger and much harder to uproot when you finally see it for what it truly is. Tend your garden my friend; that weed has to go.

I like to do a hit of dopamine first thing in the morning, followed with a serotonin chaser. Gets me reeeallly high, whooboy.

Don't get me going on those endorphins. Mix in a little lactic acid for that burning sensation.

I am sorry to continue this from the previous thread, but I need to make a couple of retractions. With the larger number of people attending I realized that I might have been a bit naive. I still believe that people should have the freedom of choice in this matter, but the realization of some people's attitudes and postings on this board have shown that there are now people who are not very responsible in their decisions. Unfortunately this creates a burden on those who are, guess that is some wisdom that you can only obtain with experience. Policing of these actions is always going to be concern of mine.

Also, I agree that many people attending does change the focus somewhat, but despite the posting of peoples negative experiences it seems that the original spirit and intent is still there. I do not want people to experience unfair harassment, but this seems as likely to happen to anyone regardless of where they are, and that bman is not overly so. In fact it appears that the risk of this occuring is lower compared to other related events.

Personally I could care less if someone wants to pump themselves full of whatever the FOTM drug is. That's really their decision. What I DO care about is whether or not they pose a danger to me and mine. Some people are chill and roll with it, while others freak out and become extremely disruptive.

The fact that people are indeed stupid enough to post their intentions to perform, what is for right or for wrong, an illegal act greatly worries me. Perhaps I'm being selfish here, but I'd be rather upset if BLM didn't grant the land use permits due to people posting such intentions on this board and/or past transgressions by said people.

Perhaps if you're stupid enough to have to ask about it here, then you're probably too stupid to be using such substances in the first place. I'd think if you'd been purchasing such substances you'd know how to do it discreetly by now, or would have made arrangements ahead of time.
