I've never been too harsh on job offers. That's more giving than taking.

Maybe he wants to keep it low key so he only gets serious applicants? The offer sounds pretty cool, under other circumstances I might consider it. (I need to keep my current job for the health insurance and things like that. If I were retired that job would be really nice.)

Since we have got a few inquiries I, as suggested above, am giving more information on this offer.

A campground host typically is not paid, but gets a campground space in return for certain duties. Since Electrical usages varies, a campground host usually pays for or supplies their own electricity.

This RV Park, Campground is located not in the middle of nowhere, (thatâ€™s Gerlachl, NV) but on the edge of nowhere. We are 2 1/2 hours from Redding, CA or Medford, Or. For shopping (stuff like milk and coffee), we have a 3-hour minimum round trip to Klamath Falls 60 miles away.

Truckers call California Hwy 139 where it goes by Tionesta "a cold stretch of road" as we are in the rain shadow of Mount Shasta and Medicine Lake (which also makes it colder here then other places.)

We love it. Paradise comes in a beautiful package. We never hear the sound of police sirens, or helicopters. The views and vistas are breathtaking. Bald eagles fly overhead this time of year. There is so much more, but I would rather discourage someone then encourage someone who might not like it here.

We are located on the road from the Pacific Northwest to Black Rock City, you know the place they have that annual art camping trip. It's about 160 miles from here to Gerlach, Nv. We give (free) to burners going to or from BRC a place to camp, shower and all the water they can carry. (we have a really nice water source). Last year we guess over 200 people stopped here and spent and night or two on their way to the burn.

We also leave here and go on our annual vacation and our daughter takes care of the park while we are gone.

Ok, so there it is in a nutshell. walnut even.

Sounds like a nice little spot of heaven WD, and it's a great gift that you let burners spend the night for free to and from. If I wasn't coming from the east, I would love to stop and spend some time with you shirtcocking hippies

We were gonna drop in outa the blue and see you on our way back to Reno from Seattle a couple of days ago, but when we got to the tee in the road, it looked like your route to Susanville was getting snowed on, really dark skies, so we opted for the Alturas path instead.

Dern weather........

Yeah, we had a little "weather' in the last couple weeks, got some more snow, but most has melted now.

We are on Hwy 139 north of Alturas. Instead of takintg 395 north from Alturas, make a jog on Hwy 299 to Canby, where you can pick up 139 going to Klamath Falls, Or. I don't recommend the section of Hwy 139 from Susanville to Adin, Canby. I think 395 from susanville to Alturas then 299 to canby, then 139 to Klamath falls Is a quicker route.

We are here most the time, but it seems that when we leave people come to visit, last year the incredible "March Forth Marching Band" came here and stayed a night, but we had no idea and were not here.. Darn it.

We arn't that far past Gerlach, (5 hours slow driving). If someone was making a real trip out of it and had a couple extra days....

We just got a call yesterday from a couple that are full time RV'ers and go to Burning Man every year. They are getting ready to leave Arizona and head to Washington for the spring. They will be stopping here on their way north. Then we will see them again in August, they will stay a few days on thier way to BRC.

Boy if I had the money to live off of there, I'd so be all over that. What a lovely job!!!
