Weird, World Metal band at Burning Man?

Greetings All~

I'm in a band that undoubtedly falls under the 'metal' category, but we're a different breed... Didgeridoo player, weird time signatures and songs about Peace, Love and Light, generally speaking.
I'm trying to gauge how well we might be received if we were to play at Burning Man this year, I've been on the Playa before and notice that people generally want to dance, meaning Electronica and Jam-Dance Band-y type stuff. We're sometimes fairly dance-able, but we do rock fairly hard as well. Don't wanna start planning anything if I know we'll simply fall on deaf ears so to speak.

We have an album coming out in a few months, and will sound much better than the demo's on that page, but it's a general idea of where we're at.

you will have a large crowd if DPW gets wind of it.
just because there are a bunch of ravers out there doesn't mean that all 45,000 of us appreciate trance,house, techno, or whatever you want to call it.

I am all for it. I mostly play Prong, soulfly, etc. off of my Mutant Vehicle every night.

My feelings are not alone....BRING IT !!!

Weird performances don't seem to fit in with the Burning man environment. Never have.

Are the time signatures too weird for normal westerners to dance to? Are going with one of those Balkan things?

They are not too weird for westerners in my opinion. We're closer to Tool than anything as far as that goes. And yes, I realize that with 45,000 people there, we'll still have a large crowd provided people actually know what's going on with us, but still, we are about as metal as say System of a Down or Mars Volta goes...
Prong and Soulfly is heartening to know about however :D
