Best Ticket Scam 2009

Post by mdmf007 » Thu Mar 05, 2009 1:44 pm

So - it may be a little early, but the ticket deals are out there. I think the record for 2008 was like 1200 bucks for a ticket online.

Who has found the best worst deal out there.

363.00 is the worst I can find.

On ebay it is $290 plus $7 shipping. They have a disclaimer that they're selling above face price and don't want to hear about it.

And someone is selling crappy faux fur hats with "burning man" in the auction title. The BMorg must be busy.

I see they're selling some 'full week' tickets there too.

I think the "full week" thing is the way ebay is set up.

I think we need to bombard these eBay scalpers with lots of real sounding questions. ie:what level ticket is this and what does it entitle you to? Is this better than other less expensive tickets? If this is a less expensive ticket, is the more expensive one better?
I'm still not sure why someone would buy a ticket on eBay when they could buy it for much less directly from BM.

Don't forget to ask if it is the one that comes with the 3-D glasses.

I was wondering more if the room came with a hot tub and if you get a continental breakfast?

Im thinking someone might see an article or one of the news blirbs on it, and not know about the website.

I'll bid $300 if it includes daily warm showers, soap, towels, 7 costumes, a faux fur pink coat, an automatic pop-up tent with all accessories, a play partner, food, 7 gallons of water, sunscreen, goggles, a golf cart (tricked out, of course), and the 3-D glasses mentioned above.

Nobody offered to take me up on my 1st tier ticket trade either. Judging from what little action I'm seeing on eplaya, I'm really worried that this year's BM will be a real bore.
